Amazing double arches in long colonnades creating a huge cover square place of worship. Córdoba was once a major world centre 8-10th century was in its prime. Converted into a huge cathedral with many chapels and Catholic iconography imposed onto moorish infrastructure. Fascinating

Probably you saw the pictures of the Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba many times, but nothing compares to the sensation of being surrounded by these archs and columns in endless corridors. The Christian altar inside the Mosque is something unique and gives to everyone a moment of perplexity. It makes you think how good it could be if people could do it,... More

Visiting Cordoba IS visiting this Cathedral. We have seen many European and South American churches and Cathedrals, and were a bit done with seeing more, but we were amazed by the architectural mix of styles of this place. It´s recommendable to go in with a guide or audio guide because it has a lot of history. Also the gardens are... More

Stunning architecture. Beautiful building inside & out. Both the mosque & cathedral are superb. Superbly maintained & still a working church.

Not much I can say that hasn't been said! It's the highlight of Córdoba. A breathtaking example of moorish architecture with just a tad of Christianity thrown in for the conquering victors.

Absolutely a great visit in which you will learn a lot about Catholic religion and Islam. I recommend a guide but you can pay for the audio guide which does not say much about the place. There was no line to get in. The place is huge and sure to bring a real camera to take great pictures.

It is worth visiting Córdoba just to experience Mosque-Cathedral. Never have I seen something so decadent, a huge space of treasures and amazing architecture. There is a fee to enter, you can pay extra for a audio guided tour if you wish. Check opening times prior to your visit. Hats and caps must be removed prior to entering and sensible... More

Very fortune that we got experienced guide during our tour in Mosque Cathedral Cordoba. The guide brought us the walk through part of the building based on time line of development. The first was the original mosque built in 8th century. Then was the expansion of the mosque to occupy the nearby church. The mosque use double arches pillars, a... More
