    Bliss in Cordoba
Don’t miss this hammam experience in Cordoba. We booked the day before on line and visited at 12 noon on a Monday. It was v quiet just a handful of couples there. Antonio greeted us and made us feel so welcome. We had over two hours in the baths including a muscle stretch massage which we had in a room together and was excellent. Stretched all over! We loved the three temperatures of baths and the steam room, and enjoyed the fresh sweet mint tea. The showers and products are lovely. It feels so ancient like stepping back in time. So authentic. Absolutely fantastic and worth every penny. UK spas don’t come close to this.
Hello Bexmeadowp, Thank you for highlighting our staff and the treatment, we always try to take care of every detail so that our travelers enjoy the experience to the fullest. Thank you.

Peaceful haven of calm in beautiful Córdoba
Welcoming, calm and revitalising. We had 45 minutes in the pools and 45 minutes of massage. The ambience was perfect, all respected the silence rule in the pools. Teas served when hydration needed. Staff friendly and professional. Everything met our needs.
Hello, What nice words you had about your experience. We are delighted that you enjoyed the service from our colleagues. Pampering them is our top priority. We hope to see you soon!

    Lovely experience
I can strongly recommend a visit to the Hammam while you’re in Cordoba. The whole place is beautifully designed and laid out, with a lovely big warm pool, hot and cold pools, steam room, massage and change rooms and separate rooms for relaxing and drinking tea. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and the prices are reasonable. A lovely way to relax in the heat of the day or after a busy day of sightseeing.
Hello Sally, We are delighted that you enjoyed the Hammam experience and shared it with us and other travelers. Our team thanks you for your nice comment. We hope to see you again !

For the value of money this was a very disappointing experience. When I booked we had an understanding that the bath use was due an hour in the bath l, Takeys for 15 mins and massage for half an hour. The order was not in the same way described. The scrub was real thorough as some areas were missed. And the massage was only the back where I felt they missed the front part of the legs and arms.
Would not expected to have the scrub and massage so soon after we arrived and the experience after the mashed was rushed … and we were out in less time expected .
There was no not offered until we asked. Not given slippers and it was dangerous as it was all slippery
Very sad to feel that way

Hello Dreamer, We are very sorry that your experience was not rewarding. From what you indicate in the comment, you hired the Midra service, which combines skin purification with relaxing massage. This is not done on the entire body, only on the back and legs, unless the traveler indicates a request to the masseuse. It is true that shoes are not worn inside the hot spring, it is non-slip and since it is constantly disinfected, bringing footwear from outside would not be hygienic. We're sorry you couldn't enjoy it, I just hope you give us another chance. We will inform the corresponding department of your comment. Thank you so much!

It is a wonderful bath and water journey here. After taking train from Seville to Cordoba, we went for a relaxing bath that night. Advance booking is recommended, when we went there at 10pm, there were still some walk in customers. We started the journey with warm bath before we had massage. We can choose oils for massage and the skills and experience was wonderful. After massage, you can enjoy cold and warm bath. The overall environment is quite and clam with oriental background music. You really feel like being in old times in Arabic area. Staff would remind customers not to talk to loud in order to keep quiet atmosphere. Since we booked at 10pm, we cannot enjoy bath too long after massage. So i would recommend to book at around 8-9pm so that you can have more times to enjoy this sensational and relaxing bath experience.

Hammam bath is an ancient hot both and spa/ massage experience designed in a modern traditional Roman setting. With three sister sites located in Madrid, Granada and Cordoba, these attractions are immensely popular amongst local and international tourists.

If you are considering for a Hammam Bath, here are the things to note:
1. The spa bookings are fixed allocated two hour timing and check-in are done collectively in a group. The 8pm session we booked in had at least 30 pax.
2. English is not readily spoken, although, there are a few English speaking staff. Spa instructions are translated and communicated to guests via a piece of laminated paper provided by the front desk staff. However, be sure to request for the translated instructions upfront before going into the spa. We quite unfortunately were not given/ briefed of the instructions and went into the spa clueless of the process, logistics and etiquettes.
3. It is not told upfront but it is a shared (mixed genre) communal bath, you must bring your own swimming gear. If you don't have your personal gear with you - For the ladies, a swimming suit can be borrowed at the front service desk. For the gents, go with what you've got - your own underwear (having something is better than none!)
4. Public display of affection is common in the bath. Yes, that means couples making out and getting lustful in the bath. This is a very uncomfortable scene for some... in particular within a crowded bath.
5. For those opting for a massage, the massage beds are located next to the bath. There is no privacy as it is an open view to others. Ladies are expected to remove you top before getting a massage...
6. Besides a good lathering of large amount of body oil and the attendant busy socialising away, the massage is nothing to rave about.

So, how does the quality of the spa and massage fair?

In relative to Asia, where spa experiences are more delightful and private than a shared communal bath. Hammam spa is an overpriced and commercialised for what it is. In combination with the poor customer service and terrible massage, I would not recommend Hammam bath for the spa and massage. Maybe for the novelty to experience an ancient bath or soak off the aching bones from a long days walk... but nothing too exciting about this attraction.

While milling through Cordoba’s old town, we saw a sign for the Hammam Al Andalus Banos Arabes so we made an appointment for a massage which came with lounging time in their various pools.

While our masseuses did an excellent job, it is worth noting the following:

1. The pools are not as hot as you would expect. The hottest pool was nowhere near the 40 degrees Celsius advertised. This wouldn’t matter except that it is not overly warm in the Hammam so you go from a warm (not hot) pool to a massage table in a large cool-ish open room in your wet swimsuit. You’re also expected to lay on your used damp towel during the massage although they obliged me when I asked for a new dry towel.
2. Astonishingly children are permitted inside the Hammam and while we were there, a 4 yr. old boy ran about, splashing and shouting in the various pools. Given that the massage room was open to the pool areas, this did not make for a relaxing or tranquil time. I can't believe the mgmt permits this.

The Arabian baths in Cordoba were the highlight of our trip. I have never been to the Turkish baths before and was not disappointed.

The whole experience was relaxing and we left feeling refreshed and very relaxed. There is a massage included in the price and you have a choice of oils used.

An oasis away from the hussle and bussle of the street.

This expensive, assembly line style bath and massage is a waste of time and money. The aggressive sales pitch at the door would have you believe that the experience will be luxurious and relaxing. Nothing could be farther from the truth. After being handed a rough and threadbare towel, you are herded into a dank and pitch-black changing room. The hot baths are not hot and - worst of all - the massages are provided en masse by a group of women who apparently I've had no training and seem entirely listless and bored. Requests for more pressure or attention are utterly ignored. We paid a high price for two hours, but escaped after 45 minutes.

While the architecture is of course beautiful the whole setup has nothing to do with a Hammam. Everything felt rushed, we were asked to sit down for tea on the second floor and after two minutes they picked us up for changing (back to the first floor). We had just started to familiarize ourselves with the three rooms and after five minutes of that we were asked to the massage. The massage was so soft I asked myself if the masseuse had ever gotten any professional advice on how to do her job. The peeling was like what I would do at home under my shower. Anyone who has had thee unforgettable experience of a real hammam in an Arab country knows that after a peeling you feel reborn though it hurts to get rid off all that old skin. After the oily massage they told me I should shower so I could get back into the water. Who really wants to shower after a massage? Isn't the point of a treatment to leave in to sink in? The tea was lukewarm, the stones you are supposed to relax on we're not heated, we were never allowed into the steam room, in the end we cut the whole experience short and left. What a tourist trap and what a waste of money! Should have bee suspicious knowing that they allow you in for a short time window only, a hammam has to be an open end experience without checking your watch.
