About El Cabo a Fondo
Boat trips in Cabo de Gata Natural Park El Cabo a Fondo offers boat trips in Cabo de Gata Natural Park, with the possibility of seeing inaccessible places, 200 meter high rugged cliffs where seagulls "float", cormorants dive, terns (charranes) plunge and one of the outlandish spectacles of nature: shoals of flying fish that jump out of the water and literally fly on the surface (this can only be seen during migration). Also we will see volcanic sand beaches that form dunes that delve into the mountain range, rocks with layers of different colors, textures with ghostly forms and caves in the sea where the pale billhook nests..., A magical landscape that still resists the pressure of urbanization that damages the majority of the Mediterranean coast. Carlos took us out for a 2 hour private boat tour. Highly recommended. He’s really knowledgeable about the local geology but also really good with our young kids. A great way to see more of this amazing area, and a lot of fun with swimming from the boat, and stopping along the way at some secluded beaches.

Enjoyed 1 & 1/2 hours of coast line tour with detailed explanation of the geology & marine biology of the area, translated expertly so both groups (Spanish & English) had the same experience. Not a shred of commercialism; tour guides who obviously love the area & sharing this with others. Enjoyed the thrill of a bumpy, wavy ride with some dramatic (expertly executed) turns & ended the experience with a 20 minute snorkel with equipment provided for those who needed it. Our group (me, my father in his 70s, my elder son (14), daughter (11), and younger son (9)) all had an amazing time. Can’t recommend this trip more highly. Thank you! If we visit the area again we’ll make every effort to come back. It was brilliant.

We had a very good experience. Las Negras is a very nice small peaceful town. The boat trip is a “must see”. You see and learn a lot about beautiful nature and Gabo de Gata. The guide speaks well English. Everybody should see and experience something like this to feel more compassion with and have more respect for nature. It’s expensive with a family with three kids and takes two hours. But it is very special.

Thank you Carlos for making this a memorable afternoon. The kids loved the fast boat, the scenory and the snorkeling. For me the highlight was the flying fish. Thank you again.
