A must visit if you are missing greenery. This park is a long strip near the port, perfect for walking, or just visiting the over 1,000 trees there. I've been living for 3 years in Almería, and this park is one of my favorite spots in the city. The trees are amazing. You can take the bike lane along the... More

It is named after the Almerian politician and philosopher who was a president of the First Republic in 1873. The large, landscaped park is made up of two parts. The Parque Viejo (Paseo de San Luis and los Jardines del Malecon), with lots of ficus and terebinth trees and the Parque Nuevo, built when the port was extended in 1924,... More

This little strip of planted area is in between 2 streets. I didn't realise it was an attraction to do in Almeria.

When my wife wants to go shopping in Almería, I go walkabout. On a few of these occasions, I have walked in Parque Nicolas Salmeron, so named after the President of the First Spanish Republic. It is a pleasant green strip, just over 1km in length that runs parallel to the port area. Mostly, it is lined with palm and... More

Nice but busy. The park is situated in the middle of a road which runs along the port area. It is nice and there is a variety of trees, shrubs and bushes. Very pleasant in the hot sun.

Just a nice area to stroll, take in the port area and watch the world go by. Very typically Spanish.

It`s really nice to walk there and relax next to the fountains, palm trees, flowering trees and other great things. Plus there are really nice people!

This park, located between the sea and the city has been transformed into Damascus for the film Lawrence of Arabia, directed by David Lean (Performer: Peter O'Toole, Alec Guinness, Omar Sharif, Anthony Quinn, Jack Hawkins). Today is one of the most important parks of Almeria, especially the old town.

Following along the waters way this park encompasses childrens areas, adult seating, some art and sculpture, and water features too. Nothing special but something nice ! ! !

Parque Nicolas Salmeron is nothing special unless you are a film buff and have seen "Lawrence Of Arabia" and "Patton". A lot of the filming for both films took place here, with Almeria taking the place of Damascus and Cairo in "Lawrence", and General Patton's entry into Palermo followed by greeting of the ‘Italian’ Bishop filmed on the Escalera de...
