Not easy to find but worth searching for! Well kept with English guiides and good use of technology. Not typical of other Spanish museums. If you are a Beatles fan, the museum has a whole room dedicated to John's stay here in the 60's when he was fillmng Oh What a Lovely War, apparently where he began writing Strawberry Fields.... This is a pretty location for a museum, we got a taxi out as it was on the edge of town cost €5 We prebooked the tickets €3 each, then the virtual tour was in English. The exhibition is based in an old Spanish house where John Lennon penned Strawberry fields, but describes various film locations throughout Almeria and the... More

This is not like other Spanish museums. The use of technology and personal guides make a really good experience. This was our second visit and we will be taking other guests to see this museum in the future. Well done staff. Book in advance to get the best out of it.

The house , formerly known as Santa Isabel , is the one on the Santa Isabel tape ie a rough but poignant draft of Strawberry fields , and the inspiration of the song as it reminded John of his childhood , when he and Pete Shotton would play hide and seek in the grounds

If you´re planning to stay for less than a week in Almería, then this is not one of your priorities. True, film-making is an important aspect of the recent history of this Spanish province and its people, and you can even pick up a few suggestions about amazing beaches and natural preserves to go to afterwards, but the museum has... You need to reserve by phone, but we could go to a guided visite the day following our call. Getting there on foot is not that simple (count a 30 minutes walk from the centre), so ask for directions at the touristical information office before. Interactive guided walk through the house is well done, but there aren´t a lot of... More

Very interesting - knowledgeable and well-spoken guide (Rafa), interesting displays and photo opportunity - reasonable admission price (€1,50). Remember, prior appointment necessary (phone).

Having visited many Spanish museums our hopes were not high for our visit to this museum. However, we were all very pleasantly surprised and satisfied with our visit to this one. The museum staff ensured that as many parts and attractions as possible were in english for us. Some of the displays are very technologically modern with techniques such as... More
