We booked this trip because we thought the bus was cute. Inside it was pretty small and unfortunaltey the english translation was not complete as the German screen was. So you could miss the guys funny comments. Fortunately I could German so I was able to translate to my friends. But it was a nice trip, wouldn't do it twice but it gave us an idea about the town and the history and we had a nice walk at the Belvedere Castle just outside Weimar

Ironically I went on this trip because others in my group were going on a German speaking trip in Weimar. Only once we were sitting down did we realise that we were listening to a translation. We were given printed sheets of information about the palace upon arrival. This was not the same as having an English speaking guided tour.

We bought our tickets at the local information place, but the lady failed to tell us that we would be missing out on quite a bit of information if we don't speak German. The driver informed us that only the film is translated. While the film was interesting, we missed out on quite a bit of information because we are not German speakers. Once we got to Belvedere, we had no idea what was going on. The driver answered our questions that we had, and gave us a card that had some sparse information, but we missed out on an awful lot due to our German inadequacy. I enjoyed seeing the sights and seeing the grounds at Belvedere (truly beautiful!), but we had seen most of the sights on foot already since Weimar is a pretty compact town. My advice: If you're not a German speaker, skip the trip, grab a map, look into the history ahead of time via the internet, and "hoof it"!
