Jahrhunderts. Das Stadtschloss schließt am 2. Juli 2018 aufgrund von Instandsetzungsarbeiten.

So beautiful. Wonderful stories about the past residents. Such lovely, delicate decor. Walking the rooms takes one back in time to graciousness.

A very entertaining and interesting place to visit; a great art collection (although I am not into early Russian icons so didn't spend long in that section). At least three items I would take home - high praise!

A great collection of both art, interiors and historical materials. We were almost alone in the building and enjoyed it immensely.

We visited the Schlossmuseum during the night of the museum so we didn't have much time to spend here. I spent too much time on the ground and first floors looking at artworks from middle-age in which I am not really interested. The second floor...More

This is a huge building with a lot to see in it. The audio guide in English is vital to an understanding of what is on display. It is free with the Weimar card.

This museum is easy to find and the history is very interesting. Unfortunately, almost nothing other than the one large description board found in most rooms is translated into English. So much of what you see, you have no idea of the history. There are...More

The collections are from grand duke, Karl August's family. Most of them are paintings. Liszt also involved in the design of its ballroom.

Very big castle witha very long history of the Weimar Ducal House but the most interesting to see are very impressive classical interiors and pianos as they have a great selection from various periods.

what a place full of interesting things to see. The audio guides were excellent and the exhibits so numerous that you wouldn't want to do the place in a rush. The impressionist painters on the top level were astounding and the history through the guide...More
