One of the most impressive city gates in Europe. Although the present gate is not entirely ancient, parts of it date to the 15th century, and it twin towers have an appealing inward lean. The gate and the old island city behind it are well...More

The spirit of time. The round form of the gates remembers those of the Slavic achitectural traditions. Definitely, at those times the Slavonic people had been living there. The name itself Luebeck sounds alien to German. No wonder - it is Slavic, means "the beloved".

What a magnificent entrance to a very cool little town. History is so near to Hamburg. Awesome place to get a group photo before entering Lubeck.

A beautiful part of Lübeck old town. So much history and so much to see and enjoy. If you love old museums, ancient buildings and churches, Lübeck is the place to visit.

This is an overlooked gem. Amazing grounds and building. Another place to put on your list. Northern Germany is overlooked by tourist. See Lubeck, Schleswig Holstein, and Hamburg
