We first saw it from a main street; there seemed to be a crowd waiting to enter. Another day [maybe Sunday] wandering neighborhoods, we saw a large marionette type figure dressed in red rain garb suspended outside. It seemed to be closed; we wished that...More

Went there with my girl friend and we spend at leat 1,5 hour there. It is really interesting and worth the penny. There is so much history about movie puppets and it's so facinating about the cultural differences around the world.

The museum was slightly quaint and basic but on the other hand very interesting and well worth a visit. A proper visit will take around 2 hours and is suitable for adults and children. Not suitable for disabled people as it's all stairs.

Here is a small, compact museum devoted to the history and artists of "puppentheater"--puppets, marionettes and some novel variations from many cultures proving the universal appeal of this form of theater. More than a survey of European puppetry, there are fascinating and colorful displays of...More

We knew little about puppets, but now we know a lot! Here are examples from all over the world and in a wonderful almost maze like setting. There is obviously great love for this art form and we found it interesting an enlightening.

Do not just visit the museum, but instead visit any of the performances - ANY! It is a fall back in time - even into childhood! Very charming!
