Nice square but not enough to make Halle intersecting tourist destination. Nice churches and two or free buildings. But I didn’t feel it’s a typical for Saxony-Anhalt - too few local attractions and plenty of others (Italian, Greek, Turkish, Indian). Not for me and cannot...More

It has own beauty. Not routine place. When you are inside the place gives you nice energy. But inside and outside some part has renovation. If you are in Halle, you must visit here.

We visited the interior of this church and the area around it. It is very beautiful and I would recommend to go to the top with a guided tour.

This church dates from medieval times although there have been changes through the years. It is situated in the centre of Halle and has associations with Martin Luther (death mask available for viewing by appointment) and Georg Frideric Haendel who played the small organ. The...More

The Marktkirche in Halle is a beautiful church with beautiful nave vaulting, grand organ and a lovely altar. For 2 euros you can see the death mask of Martin Luther, which was made in 1546. Photography without flash is allowed.
