Amazonia - the world's largest 360° panorama - Asisi Panometer LeipzigTrees growing high up into the sky, long trailing roots which seem to hang down from nowhere, a green half-light and a concert made up of the many thousands of voices of all the animals living here. On a scale of 1:1, around 106 metres long and 30 metres high, Amazonia reveals the complexity and beauty of the faraway Brazilian Rainforest.

I have been to the real great barrier reef and was amazed. Now I have been to Asis's Great Barrier Reef and was equally amazed. The exhibition provides a feast for your senses: the incredible visuals accompanied by sound and music make for a very memorable experience. There is also a wealth of information about the reef and all of... More

We where in Leipzig looking for something to do and Panometer was recommended to us, it did not disappoint. Walking up the tower and seeing the reef from different level at different times of the day was truly an amazing experience. We spent just under 2 hours here.

The exhibition boards were informative. However, the main exhibition was too distant to make you experience deeply when you stand on the deck. Also the crowds and noise disrupted the atmosphere a lot.

On a dull and rainy day visit the Panometer. We experienced the Great Barrier Reef ! Really well worth going and having a look. The lighting amazing. You feel as if your swimming with the divers under turtles amongst shoals of fish and not too far from the next shark! You see the under water changing all through the day... More

We were fortunate that there weren't too many people there when we visited so we were able to browse the many exhibits and read the information boards quite easily. I would imagine it might be rather tricky with crowds. We saw the Great Barrier Reef installation and the first exhibit on entering is a huge curved screen running a 'film'... More

I've been there four times in my life and every time was just as stunning as the last one. It's an incredible... More

When I visited the Panometer in 2015 the exposition was about the Great Barrier Reef and it was very interesting. I don´t know when I will manage to dive there myself, so bringing this experience closer was very welcome.

We went and saw the Great Barrier Reef exhibition. It was truly a magical experience. We felt as if we were teleported across the globe, right into the deep ocean of the Pacific. Really admire the idea as well as all the work and effort paid into this project and the other Panometer projects.

When we first entered the Panometer we were a bit overwhelmed by all the information. It was also quite busy and it was sometimes difficult to find a spot to read the explanations. We watched Asisi's film first what it takes to create such an installation and we would strongly suggest to do that before you enter the inner center... More

Amazing sights and sounds took us on an emotional journey through the Great Barrier Reef. The soundtrack was spellbinding and the art work told the stories of the reef in pictures after reading the information about life on the reef before entering the panorama. Well worth the 40 minute walk from the centre of Leipzig and back.
