We did this on the weekend unfortunately, due to the time of our visit. I would recommend a weekday visit instead to observe the workers at their tasks. Regardless, the weekend visit was still a treat. The staff speak English (not to be taken for...More

Possibly the best tour I have ever taken. Our trilingual guide gave an informative commentary in English and Spanish and was able to answer our questions, technical and general. This is a demonstration assembly plant which really does assemble cars, currently the e-Golf. As a...More

Well worth booking a tour in English (or German) to see the VW Golf electric car being made. There is hardly any noise in the factory and the maple wood floors help to reduce the sound levels from the production line. Use of robots was...More

From the factory to the tour itself, the VW factory in Dresden is incredible. The tour guide our group had was very knowledgeable and had a clear passion for his workplace and the company, which made the tour even better. The actual factory is a...More

I enjoyed the tour, the factory itself is amazing (wood floors, etc). I would have preferred more time in the factory itself, not talking about the rage of their new (and prototype) cars.

I just needed a rest, so I came in and had a coffee at the stand. It was good. You can do tours in various languages or just look at some futuristic electric cars. I liked seeing the original 1960s VW microbus and a contemporary...More

Important is that you call to make a Reservation. Family ticket cost 15 Euro. The tour is around 75 minutes. They have some tours in English, Chinese... so just call them first. And avoid the midday tours when you really want to see how the...More

We were a party of 5 including a small 3 year old. He got bored real fast and annoyed everybody so one of us stepped outside the tour with him. The tour itself was interesting but our tour guide was a bit boring and while...More

Group tours offer the chance to see the assembly process for the VW e-golf. It is slick, spotlessly clean and exactly what you would anticipate from a modern day German factory. An equally impressive restaurant, a look into future VW electric vehicles and a VR...More
