More or less a carbon copy of the shopping mall in my home town

We came here on a couple of occasions to do some essential shopping, grab a snack and a coffee and visit the pay for restrooms. I must admit that my first impressions were that the layout and overall design was very similar to the Rathaus Galeria shopping centre in my home town of Leverkusen. Uncannily similar.

Anyway this was also a good place to escape the awful August summer rain. And the teenagers in my family loved spending hours in the Hollister store. I eventually gave up waiting for them and went off in search of a well earned iced coffee somewhere nearby.

Place for Shopping in Dresden, Germany!

The Altmarkt Galerie is a quite large shopping mall with modern facilities and brands. You will find most of the world-class brands including electronics gadgets. I have been there many times and liked the place! And very nicely connected from-to the rest of the city.

The Best Shopping Mall in Dresden

Quite extensive shopping mall spread in several floors. Nice, clean and easy to navigate in. Lots of shops including fashion, food stores and food court. Definitely to be visited and perhaps just to buy a famous Dresdner Stollen in café Konditorei Kreutzkamm or just enjoy a cup of tea and a great piece of home-made cake.

Best mall in the region

Amazing huge mall where all Czechs go for a shopping spree, especially shortly before Christmas. Vouchers from the toilets cannot be applied everywhere, and usually only from a certain amount up - beware! Apple store here is definitely the best in the area.

concentrated shopping

from railstation to old town there is a lot of possibilities: shops on prager strasse, galerie centrum, karstadt, globetrotter, altmarkt galerie, shops in oldtown centre. from C&A to Armani.
You have to choose some shops to visit because it is not possible to see everything, not in a day, not in two days. everything is in walking distance, numerous cafes, restaurants, fast foods....and even it is overcrowded on saturdays (sunday is closed) it is pleasant.

This is bigger then Centrum gallerie and have more brands . Nice places to eat and have a coffee. The delicatessen downstairs are amazing

Great shopping center

That was my first time to Dresden.
Came there by train from Prague, took 2 hours. This shopping center is located 10 minutes walk from the Dresden train station.
I do recommend touring the sites Dresden has to offer before getting to the shopping area.

The altmarkt is great for everything, however be careful, there are so many shops and the price difference is sometimes 10 € for the same product.

The biggest in the center

Altmarkt Gallerie is my favourite place in Dresden to shop. Its pretty big, you can park there, unfortunately outside not enough place, and if you dont understand German you might be in trouble. On the other hand its right in the city cener, and there are even boxes, where you can leave, your jacket or heavy bag.

Surprisingly Great Shopping.

I was pleasantly surprised when I stumbled onto the large shopping mall in Dresden old town. The modern three level mall had some great shops providing for a good afternoon of retail therapy.

Plenty of brand names middle of the road including Zara, Gant and Handful of other popular brand names.

Mainly clothing and show stores however there were a number of other boutique style shops.

Convenient hours aswell open till 9pm at night.
