A nice way to spend 2-3 hours

Liked it a lot - the cost is reasonable and the collection is very nice. Lots of German painters - the ones I have never heard of.

Since I heard about Dresden from my lectures and saw the pictures of this neat but radiant city it has always been my wish to visit Dresden someday, and I did it after over 10 years long waiting. My very first footprints were in Zwinger (the Locals call it 'der Dresdner Zwinger' ) which is actualy a palace in Dresden... More

Huge garden, lot of exhibitions, beautiful fountains. It worth the time to go around. There are space to sit down. Good place to spend your lunch if you dont want to sit into a restaurant, just want to eat a sandwich.

A beautiful place to take a walk through in the heart of Dresden. It can be quite busy with tourists, which is understandable. Probably not a great place for families, unless kids are older.

We have 3 fairly young children (almost 4,7 and 8) and we teach them going to art museums and learning to behave and enjoy art. However, they are still children so they might not always know to use whispers and such. The staff at the museum was so unwelcoming towards us that it felt like we were committing some kind... More

Very nice Art gallery at the heart of Dresden. Overall it's an amazing city to visit at the east of Germany. We loved it.

There is so much to see and admire. The architecture the design the detail on the buildings are just beautiful. You could easily spend hours here and there is a lovely cafe with the most delicious cakes and coffee.

if you are into art it is for you. We were bored out of our minds. A lot of the paintings I got the impression were personal collections. If you want to hear about the art you will need an ear piece unless you can read German

This was a pretty place to visit even in winter. The gardens weren't in bloom but still very pretty. Admission is free and your able to walk around top of buildings for great views and photo opportunities. There's also a little café on top for refreshments.

The heading says it all- but here's a summary- there are four galleries here- porcelain collection, Old Master's Art gallery, Scientific instruments and the 'Nymphenbad' which was under renovation summer 2015. Each of these galleries are worth a visit. And if you have been dreaming of Sistine Madonna all your life like I have, you'll love it all the more.... More
