A lovely place to stroll and take in the views of the city and of the Elbe. There is a lovely terrace where you can sit and drink coffee but unfortunately it wasn't open when we were there. However we did see the boats and went on a one and a half hour boat trip down the Elbe - well... More

Just go there, spend minutes or hours contemplating the architecture of the amazing building or just watching the tourist boat in the river. Amazing and beautiful

A popular place for a promenade to look at the river and the grand architecture. Built over the surviving remnants of the old town defences from mid 1500s hence why you have to climb stairs to reach it.

The walk along the terrace offers great views of the river Elbe and adjacent museums, palaces and churches. There are benches to sit down, relax and enjoy. Nearly mediterranean feeling. Can get crowded.

On both ends, the Terrasse offers grandios views of the castle/opera and of the Frauenkirche. Nice walk along the Elbe river in between. No entry fee. Don't miss to cross the Elbe bridge from the castle/opera side of the Terrasse for a classic view of the Dresden silhouette from the other Elbe side.

The balcony of Europe. That’s the nickname they give Brühlsche Terrasse which is a beautiful place to take a walk. This used to be the city’s fortifications, leading from the Academy of Fine Arts all the way to Schlossplatz where the city’s main gate is located. I caught some artist doing their thing on the steps at the end of Brühlsche Terrasse.... More

Between the magnificently restored old town of Dresden and the Elbe river stretches this beautiful riverside promenade. The most beautiful part is from the Art museum to the Augustus bridge. You'll pass many highly decorated buildings with views on the side streets leading to Frauenkirche. Beneath you many tour ships depart for river sightseeing. The other side of Elbe isn't... More

Another wonderful city of history and architecture. First time I have been here and its spectacular views and the river sums the whole place up as a nice tranquil place that budding photographers and historians will love for hours
