I always seek out folk art and this museum was just delightful, with beautiful painted furniture, wooden carvings, puppets, and much more. I wish there had been English translations of exhibit information, but my son and I still enjoyed. It was actually a welcome relief from all the opulence of the Green Vaults!

It's only 5 euros. The second floor was the best. The security guard was keen to show us how to get the displays to light up and play .

Toys from childhood. Objects from fairy-tails. I didn't plan to visit this small museum. But occasionally visited it and was very glad. Especially for girls - the collection of wonderful dolls. Really nice feeling to come back to own childhood - some memories, impressions. Really recommended place.

We went to see this museum, because it was on our way and we had the Dresden Museums Card, which gave us free access to it. After we visited it, I must say that I would have bought a ticket anytime, no matter if it would have been more expensive that the Zwinger Palace Museums at one place. We discovered a hidden world, which reminded us of childhood and history and all the beautiful things in our past. The first floor is very interactive and if you have kids... they will LOVE to discover the hidden places with toys for them to play.

This Museum has interesting examples of furniture, household items and clothing. Additionally there are fascinating examples of wooden carved goods, originally hobby items, but later commercially produced. Also there is a collection of toys and puppets - some of which can be tried.
