We went on a city tour with Carola and had the best time. She was so charismatic and outgoing, and she showed us many interesting sights and beautiful views of Dresden. Carola shared fun facts and just enough information. The length of the tour was just right, and afterwards we had time to go back to some spots of interest. If we would have walked or taken a bus, we would have never seen as much nor had so much fun. All of us loved the tour.

My husband and I booked rather last minute and had a personal tour with Joseph, a young Brit who had graduated from a German gymnasium. He was spending a year before going back to University. He was friendly and interesting to talk to. He showed us his school and talked about his experience in coming to Germany. He was quite knowledgeable and would answer any questions. We loved gliding along on the Segways. We had walked way too much up to this point and didn’t need more walking. Easy to find the meeting point and Joseph showed up 15 minutes early. Entertaining video for the safety briefing. Definitely a 5 star experience.

We only had 24 hours in Dresden and wanted to see as much as possible. This was the way to go! We looked online for available English tours and it wasn't at a good time for us. We emailed to ask for a special time, and quickly responded and they accommodated us! Claudia was a very friendly guide whose English was great! She explained a lot about the history of Dresden and she showed us so many sites!! She had great ideas for pictures as well. We loved that the 2 of us got our own tour; I don't know how to go about booking it that way but if you can, try to ask for the least-crowded tour. No complaints here!! Excellent service and tour!

My husband and I took the English-version segway tour of Dresden, with Joseph, on a cold, wintry day - it was a real highlight of the stay, seeing places (Grosser Garten, Rudolph Harbig Stadium, Dresden Zoo) that we may not have seen otherwise. We also travelled through the newer side, made stops at the Golden Rider statue, and of course at the Old Town. Joseph (from the UK) conducted the tour and it was evident that he really loved this city, ensuring that we could stop in lovely picturesque areas, to capture the atmosphere of Dresden. He was very knowledgable, inspired, and quick to attend to our needs (e.g. for a coffee :)) and was kind enough to offer, the underprepared, us with an extra set of gloves. All in all, it was an unforgettable experience, of a fascinating city, with a truly wonderful guide.

There was no one else signed up for a tour when we booked our Segway tour in Dresden, so we were able to request a customized (unusual) route. My husband was interested in the book, Slaughterhouse Five, and we wanted to see the area where Kurt Vonnegut had been when he was in Dresden. Our Guide, Marci, was very accommodating and took us around the rebuilt old section of the city, then took us out to see the Slaughterhouse and back through the section of town that had been rebuilt by the GDR and some of the older buildings. Very interesting. Dresden is a beautiful city and an interesting stop between Berlin and Prague.

Great way to sight see, especially if short of time. Claudia our guide was great. She kindly tailored the tour to our requirements (emailed before we went). What impressed me the most was the research she did in her own time to make the experience as good as possible (we had a particular interest in WW2 history). It's also fun and a unique experience, a top memory for me and my group of friends. Thank you Claudia.

This is a trip worth booking in advance. English-speaking tours are only at certain times and seem to fill up fast. You will need a form of photo ID which can be a passport or a driving license. We had no problem paying by card. Claudia our guide was excellent and made sure everyone was confident before we ventured out, starting with the park so that we did not have to encounter many hazards too early on. The only downside was the tedious safety video which was far too long and not something I had needed to do on previous Segway tours in other countries. This aside, it is a fun and easy way to cover a lot of interesting Dresden ground in a short time and we were all very pleased we had done it.

Rocco gave us a great trip around parts of Dresden that we had not seen before and wouldn't otherwise have seen. The Park itself was worth the trip. Highly recommended (and easy to do!).

Thanks to Trip Advisor, we are very happy to again recommend the Segway Tour of Dresden. It was a highlight of our 4 week holiday. We also had a tour guide called Jenny - she was very patient whilst we 2 oldies had our first lesson at the mastering of the Segway. We - fortunately - were the only 2 on our trip and it was just sensational. Jenny was thoughtful, patient and such a mine of information about this magnificent city. We covered alot of ground and were then able to go back to visit places we had seen on this trip.
Thoroughly recommend this trip and despite the rain and a few short stops, we had more than our 3 hours of value from it.

Hello, We are considering a segway tour of Dresden. Is the landscape flat or with many hills? I was on a segway in Texas and there were areas with hills and it was a bit scary going down them.
Written July 5, 2019
Hi Gina, our tours in Dresden are all flat and have no hills. Dresden is in general a flat City. We are looking forward to welcoming you on our tour. Best regards André

Does one get enough time to see things or tours just zoom?
Written May 10, 2016
you do have enough time to see things. The Tours lasts 3 hours max and the guides are very flexible. When we did it, it was really cold so we cut it short and visited the places we wanted to see the most. As Paul says: have fun, the city is really nice.

Hi Charlotte,
thanks for the question.
A provisional license will be sufficient for driving with the Segway in Germany.
The price per person is 75 EUR for the 3 hour tour.
Thank you and have a good day,
Christian
