This is THE place to visit. One of the best national parks I have been to. You may just go see the bridge or go explore one of the trails and find yourself in the middle of nowhere, uphill with the view over the whole...More

The Malerweg trails provide some really beautiful views. I only did 1 of the stages, but I will be back one day to do the whole circuit. Weather was great even in September, I wore shorts and a T-Shirt most of the time but had...More

Hiked the Bastei bridge with a friend. Amazing views, fun hike, great national park scenary. Lots of spiky rock fingers and an amazing number of stairs and trails until you get to the big bridge. And, at the end of the trail, for two euro...More

We really didn't know a great deal about this national park, but we ended up riding through it over two days of our bike ride. However, we did visit the superb national park information centre and were completely impressed by the quality of presentation and...More

We decided to have one day of non-site-seeing and did a hike instead when we found out about this delightful national park. It's a little off the beaten path, but like most of Europe, that's where you find the most wonderful travel gems. This national...More

The Park itself is free of charge. There is a view point with the best view on Bastei Bridge. If you wanna go there you have to pay 2 euro.

I was there in October this year and it was cold even then, because ur in the midst of trees, rocks and nature. I suggest you be prepared for the coldest you can - with winter hiking gear like down jackets, etc.
