After the Romanesque interior of the Cathedral this little church seems almost playful. It has the only preserved original ceiling painting in the Mainz Rococo churches. The church was not damaged during the war, so it is in its original state. The beautiful Baroque pipe...More

On the list of churches so far, this is my favorite. Why? Because I hate baroque, usually. I felt the pink blended well. I felt it is was harmoniously put together and quite understated for the period.

This church is small but shows typical barocan decor. The colors are vivid and the walls very white. Gilded frames give rich fullness.

This church is in the main area of the old town and is worth popping in as you pass as the interior is delightful.

This church is beautiful! It's worth sticking your head in the door and taking a few photos inside. It's located in a beautiful shopping and restaurant area, so plan to spend a couple hours looking around and taking pictures!

We would have missed this church had it not been for the Bach organ music coming from the interior. The outside is being repaired or renovated. When we got inside we found a lovely baroque church with painted walls and ceilings. This is not usually...More

If you appreciate old architecture and painted vaulted ceilings this is a must see. I have to say from outside you wonder exactly how the upper section of the facade stays in place, but just stick your head through the door and you will be...More

An unexpected find on the way from Romanische Theater station to the Dom. Different from typical churches in Germany. Beautiful ceiling paintings. Worth visiting.
