This is a very modern cable car (I believe only since 2012) and so the cars are fully glass and give an excellent view over the Rhine / Mosel and Koblenz itself. This is the way to get to the fort too. The ride is...More

Little bit dear, but views are great. you board a constantly moving cable car and great views of Koblenz can be had.The fortress too is worth visiting. Refreshements are available on site. Some hotels sell tickets for the cable car.

Fantasic views of the city and you start from the city side of the Rhine riverbank and cross to the other side of the Rhine to the hilltop near Ehrenbreitstein Fortress. Wide expansive views from this vantage point. Enjoyed watching the various types of boats...More

Beautiful views, good deal to buy a combined ticket with entrance to fortress. You can see Koblenz and the confluence Mosel and Rhine.

We did the cable car return trip without the ticket to the fortress. It was such a hot day but the cable car was still comfortable and there was not much queue (mid afternoon). The view up and down is lovely. It isn’t a long...More

Elsewhere on Tripadvisor there are reviews for the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress. The Koblenz cable car takes you to the Fortress, but they are separate activities. There is a fee for each and a slightly cheaper fee if you choose both together. This review is for the...More
