In every of my Koblenz visits I spend some time looking at this unique fountain work. Always working both day and night. I will continue visiting.

Known as the Noah's arck fountain the Erfinderbrunnen by Gernot Rumpf is said to have been designed having the Noah's ark image as a model, due to the number of animals its boat like shape has. It is very interesting to look at.

I was happy to find the fountain on my way back from the shops and stood for some time watching the wheels turn and try to figure out whiche inventor/invention the different parts represent. Really worth a look when you are in Koblenz

After our walking tour, we strolled around to find a bank and came across this beautiful fountain. It has spinning water wheels, funny looking sculptures spraying water and much more..will research its meaning. Too bad it is hidden away , because you can easily miss it.

Almost hidden away in a pedestrianised area this is perhaps the most satisfying fountain to stand and watch, not just in Koblenz, but anywhere. Spinning waterwheels, strange sculptures and spraying water each aspect gives you something different. It deserves to be in a much more prominent position but is very satisfying to find. The name translates into English as the "Inventor Fountain" it represents transport innovation on water on the Rhein and Mosel, by car and aircraft.
