We went up by a spectacular cable car ride over the Rhine. Fort interesting even without the audio guide. Then the exhibitions were brilliant. There is a lot to do out of the fort and all for €10.50 for over 60's.

We combined a trip in the cablecar with a look round the fortress and a small hike along the Rheinsteig path. The fortress provided fantastic views of Koblenz and the rivers as well as some respite from a hot summers day. Much of the historical narratives given in English as well which was appreciated. Took us 1.5 hrs without looking... More

This castle is massive and worth the extra fare with the cable car kombi ticket. A leisurely stroll around the ramparts offers great views of the city below.

Our visit coincided with a festival which meant food and drinks stalls everywhere, as well as live music, which was excellent. The fortress itself is brilliant and huge. You can drive up to the top or as we did get the chair lift. A highlight of our trip. The view were unbelievably good. Highly recommend.

This is one of the most impressive fortresses we have seen and we recommend a walk along the whole area and not just the view. Sit down and take it all in.

If you are in Koblenz its worth a visit. We were lucky because there was a festival goong on in the castle with street food so it was a nice atmoshpere. Great view from the top.

Having got to the top in the impressive Cable Car, the walk to the fortress is rather long as is the walk to admire the view. In my opinion the whole place is rather confusing, but worth going up and down just to see the views.

Impressive views and cable car trip but nothing in English (not even museum!) once you are there. Very confusing and chaotic place - no arrows helping you to have some continuity in the sightseeing, that would lead you from one place to another. Still worth seeing due to beautiful views. Pity as the fortress has definitely potential and could be... More

Spent 3hrs but wasn't enough. Awesome views of koblenz and rivers. You can get audio tour in English, then go at your own pace. Educational about workings of fort, and how it evolved to deal with changes in technology. Also had other exhibits, related to local economy and natural history. I would plan for 5 hours to really get it... More
