This zoo was one of the best I've been to. There was a variety of animals, all with spacious enclosures. The zoo was located in a large area and involved a lot of walking. Entry and food were reasonably priced

We’ve been to many zoos and having read the reviews I thought Wuppertal would be better than it was. There are some good enclosures and a decent selection of animals but no more than you’d expect. It’s also hilly so be prepared for some steep...More

The "Wuppertal Zoo" is very "worth seeing" due to its topographical location and the variety of animal species and with the first Wuppertal landmark, the monorail (SCHWEBEBAHN), good to reach! Both from the city center and from the central station.

We found this zoo slightly better than the one from Cologne, probably due to its location. It feels a bit more natural than any other city zoo as you are walking uphill and downhill among large spaces. Quite many interesting species (gorillas...) and some nice...More

After many decades I returned to Wuppertal Zoo and was rather disappointed. When I entered the location I noticed that the Restaurant "Zoo Terrassen" is still not in operation. The building looks rather dilapidated. The music pavilion is the first building you see, when you...More

We have been in this zoo during a nice sunny day of April. The location is great with very big places for many of the animals. Some of them has a big free area, like lion, tigers, elephants to move...has several places for kids, however...More
