Visited Schloss Rheydt today on a sunny Sunday afternoon and was not disappointed. Stunning from all angles and the museum was interesting (although only had information in German and Dutch, word of warning for non German-speakers) and the grounds surrounding the castle are also lovely...More

Beautiful setting for this Rennaisance Palace in Monchengladbach. Well restored, large parts of it are a museum and also a good restaurant.

We walked from our hotel in Mönchengladbach on a chilly Saturday morning to get some fresh air. It’s not that the palace is so far, it’s that there’s nothing to see or do on the way there. Just row houses. That said, the palace grounds...More

This is absolutely amazing place for family, friends, lovers or single ones. Anyone will find something for himself. There is a fabulous big park, a playground for kids, dungeons, beautiful peacocks and more. I spent fantastic time there.

Except for the peàcocks it is not a must do place , average historical site, would have been much better if other language instructions would have been added to the displays, just average for weekend stroll

Your GPS will get a workout trying to get you here, but it is worth the stop. Some basic knowledge of German is a must, though, as the signage is in that language (along with Dutch). Interesting collection and grounds--with peacocks! Café onsite and grounds...More

Location excellent, buildings lovely, museum overpriced but with some genuine gems, eg. permanent curiosity cabinet collection for which we had taken 1 1/2 hr detour to see as we're restoring one. Photography not allowed (didn't say on website or marked outside), unfriendly staff said we...More

On the weekends and on holidays it is very crowded, we had hard time finding a parking space. Thare is a museum, a restaurant and a great yard with lots of peacocks and ducks and geese, my 2-year-old was so excited. There are some benches...More
