Really enjoyed our visit.

Krefeld Zoological Garden is a splendid example for a neatly shaped zoo, with a nice choice of animals and some highlights, attracting also parents, grand-parents and grown-ups. Neatly shaped: all animals are within a good distance and can easily reached by feet, even if the children (or the grand-parents) are not in the mood of walking... Choice of animals: in... More

A wonderful zoo. We really loved the fact that you can get so close to the animals. Pity some of the enclosures were a little small for the animals. There was a lovely butterfly enclosure which was unusual. Parking was a little difficult to find as the carpark was full.

For an elderly couple we did everything right, we went with a younger married couple and their 3 children so that we had a full range of ages. The tour started well with the seals at feeding time, the monkeys, penguins, the gorilla house and the butterfly house. Looking at the alligators, they looked like dummys and never moved for... A small but green place with lots of animals. I mostly like the penguins wo run freely in their "cage" among the visitors.

This month I have been in this zoo. This zoo lookes like a park with lots of things to do. The monkeys live in a very nice house. You can make a walk through this zoo and see a lot of animals. The flamingo's I liked most. It's a pleasure to be there.👍

This is the local zoo in my hometown and it's been here for ages. Some recent updates have improved the somewhat old fashioned overall experience. Be sure to visit the monkey house!

Lovely Zoo, made for the animals rather than the crowds. Really good work for animal and rainforest conservation, too.

This lovely little zoo has many surprises. Not only is there a "trail" of beautiful artworks imported from Zimbabwe, the enclosures for the animals are beautiful too. There is a great variety of animals and the enclosures are currently spacious and don't look too zoo like, however they are about to start making "seemless" enclosures to give the impression of... Average at best, the enclosures are outdated and if renovated still too small. Concrete-Floors for animals in zoo's are not ok! Also almost more outdated play-grounds than enclosures. The tropical-house with free-jumping apes is a big highlight though!
