The 'Limbecker Platz' shopping mall is one of the better and one of the largest in this part of Germany.
It's spacious and bright and includes a department store (Karstadt), almost 200 shops shops and a dozen of restaurants.
Car park is also available.

Regular visitor here love the array of shops and foodie places with broad range of shops and price ranges to suit absolutely all tastes and finances. Good parking and all English speaking. Makes for an excellent days shopping with nearby shops by the centre too. Highly recommended for visitors to the area looking for retail therapy.

This is a wonderful place for shopping or just to hang out with friends and family. It has different store chains and a big food court. If you can't find what you are looking for the take the exit on the back and walk up the Limbecker Straße. You will definitely find it. All in all a wonderful experience. We often go there and have never disappointed.

What a huge shopping mall ! Sometimes a bit confusing and you can end up desorientated. I mostly go there just to see 2 of my favourite stores... And they have all a Geeky Nerdy guy wants!! There is also good places to eat or just have a snack. But the big plus of this place, has to be the HAPPY DONAZZ store... Man, i just love this donuts!!!

There seems no logic to this shopping mall. Its a roughly triangular building, and very easy to get totally disorientated inside! There aren't enough direcrion signs and food outlets are randomly situated all over the place!
All of the main shops are likely to be here, if you can succeed in finding them. Shopping in nearby Limbecker Strasse , Kettwiger Strasse and the Rathaus Galerie is pleasanter and less disorientating!

New shopping complex (about two years old) in the centre of Essen. Very close to a big cinema and the theater area. Good for a Visite before an evening out. parking is cheap and very close. The food court offers many different food places at reasonable prizes. A hard competition to the the Centro in Oberhausen.

The first thing that is different is that the ramps to the parking spaces and the parking spaces themselves are not as narrow as other parkhaus .

Once one gets over that surprise, one descends into the shopping area, 3 levels of it. There is lots of shopping and if you don't like what is in the building, then go outside and walk up the street. Lots of different food to eat, from fast food to fresh fruit to chocolates to donuts to bakeries to asian to coffee. There are lots of restaurants too.

..and a last word about the parking structure....the elevator has buttons low enough for people who are in a wheelchair....in fact they are so alluring that a child in a stroller might press some of those buttons requesting the elevator to stop at non-requested floors!

I'd like to recommend the foodcourt for Italian Food there. Reasonable price for a portion of pasta, with juicy sauce and baking process before it is served to you. Nice!
