Experience the most beautiful Duisburg Rhine section with its green dyke meadows and meadows. This rickshaw tour offers you, in addition to the wonderful possibility of decelerating, a lot of interesting facts about the Rhine and the surrounding area and to top it off, a fascinating view of the Rheinpreussen stockpile.

This was my first time there, just to check it out and maybe take some pics, since I like industrial settings. It is a huge area with many industrial objects or relics from a former area, now mostly taken over by nature, which makes it‘s charm, as it is a great mix. It also was won back by fauna and is a nature park with some rare species. They arrange many events, which people love. I just went for a stroll in that huge area and had a great time, and took many cool pics. I will go again, if I am in the area. Cool place! It was possible to parke nearby for free. Entrance was free and there are benches for a picknic or to rest and some public toilets, which were actually clean. There is actually an app which one can download to check out sights in this industrial park or organize the walk, called Lapano.

Here you can spend a nice day/night and that without entrance fee. If you are free from giddiness, you can climb up to the top of the blast furnace (approx. 80 meters) and enjoy the fantastic view of the surrounding area. Hobby photographers get their money's worth here, motives at every corner in this former steel mill. In the twilight the whole charm with special lighting comes to the fore, guided or also introduced inspections are also possible in the dark and maybe you are lucky and you can enjoy a wonderful sunset on top of the blast furnace. A snack is also possible. Diving in the gasometer and climbing in the former bunkers is unfortunately reserved for club members.

A wonderful experience, an unique place. You can freely wonder in every part of this huge steel factory. Even the restaurant is great.

Yeah, I am a sucker for derelict industrial buildings, but this is taking it to another level. It’s a big big park where you can walk in and around a couple of factories. The sheer scale of things is amazing. You can climb up one of the factories all the way to the top with a great view. Looking around you can imagine how it was hundred years ago. We were lucky with the weather, sunny and 0 wind giving great photo opportunities.
