Nice for a chill afternoon

It's a park so not the most exciting place but it is a great quiet walk with wildlife. There are various animal pens and the option to buy a cup of food to offer them. There is one place in particular in the parc that allows the deer to come right up to you which was nice. There is also a washroom facility on site.

Couldn't recommend more!

For an animal lover, this is one of the best experiences of my life.
Make sure you bring apples and cut them up as the deers and pigs prefer them over carrots!

Nice day trip out, great for families, plenty to keep children occupied. There were only deer and wild boar to see but I assume this was because of the time of year.

Nice Sunday event

The park is nestled in the hills of Dusseldorf and has a small but reasonable range of animals to feed and\or pet. Entrance is free however take a one euro coin with you so you can buy some food pallets from a machine. alternatively you are allowed to feed the animals pieces of carrots and apples.

Worth visiting

If you’re in the area and you like animals and the outdoors then you must visit!

We enjoyed a couple of hours, in the chilly winter sun , walking around this beautifully kept property , admiring the land and the animals.
The highlight for all of us was buying a 1 Euro pot of animal food, walking through a large pasture and hand feeding the friendly , gentle deer.
There are play areas, toilets shes picnics areas. All clean and tidy.
Theres plenty of free parking and admission is also free!

Lovely Location

Beautiful forest, easy commute from Dusseldorf centre. Spent a lovely afternoon wandering around and admiring the animals. The deer were particualarly gorgeous. There are also some interesting exhibits in the learning centre, but take a translation app if you don't speak German. Delightful wander around through nature.

A nice and relaxing place

This is a nice mix of a park and a zoo. We saw wild boars and deers, their aviaries seem to be spacious enough so it looks a bit better than a zoo. You can bring carrot and apples to feed them or buy a cup of food from the feeding machine (be aware that it accepts 1€ coins only).
The area of the park is surrounded with a forest with lots of walking trails so you can have very nice time enjoying the nature and fresh air.

Excellent day out

I loved this place, it’s definitely more geared towards families but anyone can go and it’s totally free. If you’re lucky the deer will come and eat of your hands!

When I read the reviews that this place should be part of your list of visiting, well its average.

I decided to walk for 7 hrs from my hotel to the museum kunstpalast and to there; while taking in sights which wasnt too bad until you are about 1 hr 30mins in when you see the road sign that tells you the direction of the wildpark and takes you to a hiking trail before you get to the wildpark. I did not expect there to have a steep hiking trail (used google maps) and wore some less than comfortable shoes (I would recommend good running shoes if walking to there). When I got to the wildpark, there wasn't any deers or mountain pigs around (there is like separate enclosures but was empty?).

The whole park was smaller than I expected (at the time, they closed off the trail after the toiletten station?). There was a small playground for kids to play and an small information desk cabin with live forest mice, iguanas and fish tank to view. Also had lots of taxidermy animals like fuchs (fox). At the very end (around 5-6pm) you see deers coming out to eat which you can purchase wildfutter for 1 euro (machine).

The most interesting is the hiking trail (very large area) before you get to the Wildpark, now that I like to go back if I had decent shoes. Also not many people on the trail and had a nice cool breeze so its nice.
