Walk through on a one night layover

Had about a day to see as many sights as possible on a trip from Hamburg to Eindhoven. This is a great area to walk around to see the river and some very interesting structures.

It's only 2-3 minuts to walk to the riverside from the old town. You have a view on the other side, e.g. the Rheintower, you will maybe pass a Ferries wheel. And then you have some open/outdoor restaurants located at the river, in autumn (it was about 3 degrees) they had these kind of radiator heaters. We did not eat... More

Nice view , good atmosphere , and very relaxing area. Here you can have a drink at the many restaurants or just do nothing looking at the traffic on the Rhein.

Düsseldorf offers the most beautiful tree lined promenade along the Rhine and long relaxed walks are called for. Makes for a beautiful way to see this city.

This is a great place for a stroll, lots of places to eat and drink or just sit and watch the world go by. Some of the buildings especially near the old docks range from brilliant to bizarre, all in all a great place to visit.

I've been in Dusseldorf a number of times and I could still walk the Promenade all day long. The architecture is just amazing, I always admire the front row houses (on both sides actually, Oberkassel is one of my favourites too). You could start at Media Harbour and work your way towards Burgplatz, or go the other way around. It... More

We walked and sat and enjoyed to area. Interesting to see people walking dogs in the space, parking small boat's, and just sitting admiring the traffic on the river. Wonderful experience.

This place gives a great view of the Rhein river. Nice for a walk or to stop by one of the many restaurants for some food and drinks.
