This is a lovely walk alongside the river and adjacent to the Old Town where you can continue for a couple of miles at your leisure right down to the harbour.

A pleasant stroll along the rhine past the old town and down towards the rhine tower and the attractive modern buildings in the nearby wharf. The trees along the route are intriguing as it must be a huge effort to trim of all new growth...More

We walked the promenade a few times just to get to the Altstadt. It is an easy walk but not much to see along the way. There are some outdoor restaurants but we didn't partake because it was a bit cool even though most had...More

Always enjoy a walk along this promenade when I'm in the City of Dusseldorf. I find it quite hypnotic to watch the huge barges fight against the current of the river to go upstream & seemingly travel 3 or 4 times faster as they travel...More

This is a lovely stroll, great boardwalk along the Rhine. Whether it’s daytime or nighttime, you can enjoy a moment of peace, either wandering around, jogging or taking photographs along the promenade.

The Old Town is worth visiting and, at its edge, so is the promenade along the river. It is a well-kept and attractive area, although the rive and the bank on the other side, is rather boring. My only beef is that there could be...More

A beautifully located promenade along the banks of the river Rhine. A lot of restaurants and pubs in the summer there must be a great atmosphere. The sunset was fantastic.

There is a beautiful walk to be had along the Rhine promenade in Dusseldorf at any time of year. Judging by the number of cafes and bars along the way they must be extremely popular in the summer months particularly at weekends. Moored alongside the...More

The longest bar in Germany they say. It does offer you a nice view on the mighty river Rhine and all the activity going on. Plenty of choice, good food and drinks.
