Dortmund day trip (2 Replies)
We will be spending a day in Dortmund, while on holiday next month and I was wondering if there is a park and ride car park around the Signal Iduna Park/Westfalenpark area. Some of us want to see the stadium and the others will be going into the city. Also is it easy to buy either return or day tickets for park and ride trams/trains/buses?

There are several car parks between the Westfalenhalle and the Eissportzentrum in Strobelallee but you will have to pay and display (no park and ride parking). Football stadium is next to Westfalenhalle and you will find a big U-Bahn-Station (underground) where trains go directly to Dortmund main station and city centre. There are ticket machines where you can buy day tickets.
