- Jack GloverLiverpool, United Kingdom7 contributionsBVB vs Union Berlin 07.10.23The atmosphere was unreal, BVB's yellow wall were behind the team throughout the game and credit to the away fans who were equally incredible. The game was really exciting and full of goals (4-2 to BVB) but even the match itself does not compare to the atmosphere created by both sets of fans. As someone that goes to football games in England, the atmosphere in the Westfalenstadion is surreal and nothing like I have experienced before. I also did the stadium tour and visited the Borusseum, which is cool and worth a visit if you are interested in the history of BVB! All the staff in and around the stadium were really nice and helpful, especially as I am an English speaker and know only limited German. Overall, a great experience and I can't wait to visit BVB again!Visited October 2023Traveled soloWritten October 10, 2023

- Oelsen HRotterdam, The Netherlands10 contributionsStill greatI reckon this stadium's pretty special, you know? Went here with my old man on his shoulders a good few years back, and it's still a top spot in Dortmund. However, gotta be honest, the parking's a nightmare and costs a pretty penny. The area in front of the stadium, especially after matches, is a bit chaotic and way too packed. And don't even get me started on the grub inside – bit of a letdown. Hopefully, someone takes note and sorts these things out. Cheers!Visited January 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten January 15, 2024
- Thomas GAmsterdam, The Netherlands1,876 contributionsDortmund - Freiburg 3-0The Signal Iduna Park has one of the best atmopsheres in the whole of Europe and it is fantastic to visit a match here. The Gelbe Wand is outstanding, but other fans are good as well. This was a fantastic football place.Visited February 2024Traveled with friendsWritten March 13, 2024

- vatirsoyLondon, United Kingdom7 contributionsAtmosphereI was on a trip to Germany and there was a Champions League match in Dortmund. I had never been to a Dortmund match before and I had heard that the atmosphere at the stadium was incredible, so I knew I had to go. I started looking for tickets a bit late, but I eventually found one on a site called Biletwise. I was a bit hesitant at first, but I ended up buying the ticket without any problems. When I got to the stadium, it was huge! It has a capacity of 81,365 and the fans really make the most of it. The atmosphere was amazing and the match was very close.Visited April 2024Traveled with friendsWritten April 24, 2024
- wanderer_scotlandWest Kilbride, United Kingdom1,417 contributionsFantastic stadium and great atmosphereWas attending Euro 2024 following Scotland, and on one of my off days, I was able to get tickets for Turkey v Georgia in Dortmund. I have visited Dortmund before with Scotland when they have played Germany, but this was my 2nd game at Euro 2024, and out of the 4 I attended, this had by some distance the best atmosphere. Maybe not as modern as other stadiums in the tournament, but it is still one of the best, and while my ticket said "restricted view", I still had a fantastic view for the game. Every true football fan must attend at least one game in this stadium in their life time.Visited June 2024Traveled soloWritten June 27, 2024

Went there during summer break for stadium tour and had chance to saw and experienced lots of things - from walking into player's changing room, into the legendary yellow wall.
I recommend for those of you who visit Signal Iduna also visit Borussia Dortmund Museum just conjunction to the stadium. It shows the football team history and many memorable moments.

Myself and 4 friends attended the BVB v Stuttart match, we stayed in Koln and traveled to Dortmund by train, lots of friendly BVB and Stuttart fans on the train. Took the S bahn to the stadium where we had a beer and food outside before buying souvenirs in the Fan shop (Fan Welt), Entered very early and had a few more beers with some BVB fans before taking our seats, fantastic atmosphere, helped by Dortmund winning 5-0, the Yellow Wall was in full voice while everyone around us were great craic. Our friends from earlier then took us to their local bar for more fun. After a great day we had to say goodbye to our new friends and head back to catch our train to Koln and have a great fun journey with more BVB & Stuttgart fans. A wonderful experience with lots of happy people & no sign of any hooliganism, if you want a great football trip with no hassle head for the Signal Induda, i have been on many football trips but this was one of the best.

Impressive stadium with friendly fans, all dressed in the bright yellow colours of the home team. The yellow wall was impressive to look at but a bit too choreographed for my liking, the same with the singing of “walk on”. It wasn’t that loud to hear from the away end, except during a couple of songs that the rest of the ground joined in with.
To me, Frankfurt have a noisier set of supporters and ground.
The ground is easy to get to on the trains and there’s loads of stall outside to get drinks and food.
In my opinion, one night in Dortmund is enough as there is not a lot there. We had a stop over on route in Belgium the night before, which I would highly recommend for all their lovely beers.

The staff were very friendly on arrival and it was easy to start the tour. The way around for the self guided tour is marked out clearly with yellow tape. You are able to see the yellow wall, media room, player changing room, player tunnel, dugout, and stadium prison. Borussia Dortmund songs were playing from a loudspeaker throughout. It was a fantastic experience for the price.

The adrenaline-fueled tour is simply a fantastic experience. Our relaxed and humorous tour guide (I've unfortunately forgotten her name) did her best to cheer up the somewhat sleepy bunch the morning after the unfortunate loss against Red Bull and impressed with her extremely competent knowledge of the stadium and BVB's history and present. It's definitely worth booking the tour rather than stumbling through the sprawling, huge stadium unaccompanied, and you'll learn things that even a die-hard fan didn't know. And the stadium is incredibly impressive even without spectators. I know a lot of stadiums in Germany, but the power of this beautiful arena never fails to blow you away. Highly recommended.

We booked a guided tour to visit the "most beautiful stadium" in the world. Far from it, it's by far the ugliest, most unkempt and the most smelly I've ever seen, pfui, pfui, pfui. The tour guide was visibly annoyed by us visitors and gave many snippy answers. In other stadiums they clean, renew, paint between seasons, here the garbage lies around and in between they carry you out. Once and never again!

In a few years time, I would love to.attend some matches in Germany. Do Dortmund offer hospitality packages to make it easier to get tickets and if so what is the price range?

I will be in town for the Dortmund vs Bayern Munich game on 4th April. I am tying to avoid touting websites and I was wondering do people sell tickets outside the stadium even for this big game?
Thank you :)

Any match is a struggle to get tickets. I ended up on viagogo for the Union Berlin match. Paid €96 each for three tickets with a face value of €18. But it was the only way I could get tickets.

Hi All, I'll be travelling from Australia to watch Dortmund play Freiburg.on 29 Feb. I wasn't able to buy tickets online as it got sold out immediately. Viagogo, Stubhub and seatwave are way too expensive so I'm planning to buy it from outside the stadium on game day.
I know the original price of the ticket is 17 euro and the selling price is about 60 euro. Of course i will try to bargain to 50 euro or less. However, my main question is how do i know the tickets are real? What advice can you give me to ensure it is a real ticket? Please give any suggestions on how to buy original tickets from these touts.Thank you.

Hi,
You can check the club tickets website; they may offer few tickets during the week before the match, this is what happened with me, there was no tickets and three days before the match they offered more than 50 tickets on the website.

any recommendation on the best way to get tickets?
Written January 21, 2020
I did it via their partner travel agency, best travel, who arrange accomadation and match tickets. It was excelllent service from them. The best way to do it is to search for ‘Borussia Dortmund adrenaline trip’.
