This should be WAY higher on the list of things to do in Köln! I went to a free lunch time session at 12.30 today (Thursday). No need to book, just turn up. The doors open at noon. There is a coat/bag check. Beautiful venue. A chilled way to listen to some gorgeous music.

One of the best concert halls in Germany, maybe in Europe. A superb program should give you a chance listen to an extraordinary orchestra in a perfect setting. If you are a few days in Cologne take the chance to buy a ticket and enjoy the excellent acoustic with best view from all seats. If a concert is sold out,... More

I appreciated many wonderful concerts. Often classical concerts Button also good Jazz. The Cologne Orchestras have a high standard, but there are guest Orchestras from Vienna, Chicago and other places. You can have a excellent sound from every seat.

If you're a serious (or even less than serious) music-lover, this is is a venue not to be missed. The Kölner Philharmonie is acclaimed as one of the best concert halls in Germany, with excellent acoustics and a superb view from all parts of the auditorium. Don't be put off by the exterior. There is almost nothing to see as... More

One of the best concert halls in Germany if not Europe. I have been there to more than a dozend concerts and was never disappointed by the accoustics, no matter whether classics or jazz. You see and hear well from all seats.

What a superb concert hall! I saw 2 performances here, first the intimate quartet Salut Salon ,where the stage was framed by huge back cloths, and then a full symphony concert with the excellent Cologne Philharmonic, with open stage and seats and boxes behind the orchestra. The stage is low and the is a formidable rake, so that in row 4... More

If it's traditional music it's most likely going to take place here. Jazz, Classical, Contemporary and Experimental and World music. Many of the greatest have played here and it's always worth a look on the schedule.
