I really enjoyed going to the Philharmonie on New Year's Eve. It was so nice (for a change) to have large seats with your own arm rest! Sitting behind the stage was interesting. You could almost see the musician's sheet music. Great acoustics. Business casual, slightly dressy attire. Great drinks during the intermission.

This is a very modern concert hall fanning out in a wide arc from the stage and without pillars to block the view. It is not necessary to sit in the most expensive seats to hear and see well but I would not recommend sitting in the choir seats behind the orchestra.

Took a concert at the hall. The structure its self is excellent and the hall good acoustics and views from the majority of seats. Had an enjoyable evening although felt for my classical piece the music was more efficient than emotional. Great organ in the hall

I am hoghly impressed by the hall and the concert i attended. They have very comfy seating and i think this should be higher ranking place than it is.

Wonderful to share a quality concert with the locals. Very impressive concert hall, worth the visit in itself.

Was very impressed by both the venue with its excellent acoustic, seating and unobstructed sight lines and by the performance of the Gürzenich-Orchester of Köln.

This should be WAY higher on the list of things to do in Köln! I went to a free lunch time session at 12.30 today (Thursday). No need to book, just turn up. The doors open at noon. There is a coat/bag check. Beautiful venue. A chilled way to listen to some gorgeous music.

One of the best concert halls in Germany, maybe in Europe. A superb program should give you a chance listen to an extraordinary orchestra in a perfect setting. If you are a few days in Cologne take the chance to buy a ticket and enjoy the excellent acoustic with best view from all seats. If a concert is sold out,... More
