I visited here recently on a trip to Cologne with my boyfriend in December. The gardens are free to visit although there are little donation boxes around the gardens so you can give what you feel. The gardens themselves are quite large but are easy to walk around, which is good if you tired easily or have trouble walking long... More

Although i am not a plant lover but still visited at the garden as i had heard about this place once by a friend. So, yhought to go yhere and find that i was in the lap of nature. It was really relaxing not just for the heart but for my soul. Very pleasing and beautiful garden.

I was as part of the city tour. Being here in winter, can't do justice to the beauty of the flora that are meant to impress visitors.

Beautiful gardens, lovely in the summer, you can even buy a pic-nic packet lunch at the café and enjoy it among the flowers!

We packed a picnic lunch and walked from the city center along the Rhine, to the botanical gardens and enjoyed a wonderful day. The gardens were very beautiful, and well maintained. We enjoyed our picnic there, then wandered around enjoying the beautiful flowers and plants. There were even some nice shaded benches, affording me the opportunity for a nice nap.... More

all you have to do is to take a walk there, for all nature lovers it is your place, and it is for free also, take the train number 18 to the station zoo/flora and enjoy it

My wife and I stopped off at the Cologne Botanical Gardens during a hop-on-hop-off bus tour of the city. BEWARE – the last bus leaves at 17:35, not when the bus tours stop. Although the gardens are not particularly large, they are beautiful, with lots of interesting areas and flora. Well worth a visit.

My wife and I visited the botanical gardens in late september. There were still plenty of flowers, all the paths appeared open. Big gardens, did not feel crowded despite the amount of people present. Parking is tough to find, strongly suggest public transportation or cab.
