Very large, highly modular exposities centre? The Venue is impressive, a lot of parking possibilities. Hotels nearby and the city centre easily reachable via public transport!

I went to Zufknt Personal here a couple of weeks ago. The entrance/taxi area seemed to be a little chaotic but well signed. The inside of the venue was very well appointed. The venue is huge with a number of Halls across multiple levels. Food was ridiculously expensive for low level canteen standards only. Captive audience and boy they took advantage. The queues were ridiculous and they didn’t know how to cater for the volume of people that’s for sure.

Although at certain parts the upgrades have started (South Entrance), Koelnmesse is really out of date. Restaurant facilities are inefficient and cramped, and for instance signage to get from one hall to the other often is confusing. I think there are better exhibition area in Germany

A fantastic multi-purpose exhibition complex with up to date amenities and facilities. The venue would benefit with a transportation shuttle network to its size.

I come for Gamescom every year. The center is massive and it’s very confusing to get around - very little signage or maps to explain where to go and how to get there.
The food options are awful - super overpriced and very low quality. It’s downright shocking.
In August the AC doesn’t work well so you smell nothing but sweaty nerds at Gamescom.

Needs serious upgrades.

Visited Koelnmesse for Gamescom 2017. Very big place with a few different entrances to make it easier to access. Right by the train station and few minutes walk from tram stops. Plenty of toilet and food/drink facilities. Well ventilated so you won’t over heat on a hot day if you are inside most of the day. There are some outside areas to the Center which were used to pitch food vans when we visited.
If you attend for a convention like we did I recommend bringing comfy shoes cause you will be doing lots of walking around the centre as it very huge as I’ve already mentioned. Looking forward to coming back in 2018.

Germany is great place, but that particular place is a bit overdone. Very well organised but hard to get there on foot. We had visited the motor show. Weren't very impressed.

Unfortunately, the Cologne trade fair is doing away with itself. The entrance fee of €70 for the IMM is far too expensive for what you get there. The big, well-known German furniture brands were nowhere to be found. A €20 parking fee was added to the entrance fee.
If you want to eat something, there are the usual food corners. The taste and quality are like at a snack bar. The prices are more expensive than in a restaurant, however.
No wonder the exhibitors have withdrawn from here. It's a real shame, after all, such an international furniture fair would be really important for Germany, but this is how they do away with themselves.
