A part of the Local University, it is part of the gardens and is well worth seeing and taking your time at.

Popplesdorf is a really friendly town. I only visited because i was going to the university hospital. It is only a bus ride away and it was really nice and friendly. Not much to see (apart from the palace which is very grand), but a few nice shops and an amazing bakery. Definitely worth a bus trip if you're in... More

The best thing about this palace was: A. The structure itself. It was truly amazing. B. The botanical gardens that surrounds the palace. In the autumn/ winter take a stroll up Popplesdorfer Allee. The best way to see it in all its glory is from the square opposite... More

The palace is now part of the University of Bonn and is home to their Mineralogical-Petrological Museum. The former palace gardens have been developed into lovely botanical style gardens and are among the oldest in the world. These beautiful... More

Sunny and dry for a visit via the "underground" from Bonn (half hour journey). Lovely gardens and woods and an interesting tour of the Palace - note you can only do via a tour. English headsets available.

He palace is great, but you love it more in pictures than in real life. Only if you have time to spend, visit it, but don't expect more
