It's a small Garden inside a big park. It's really lovely! All of it. I enjoyed being there. It was a sunny day too! Anyway, unfortunately I found the Japanese Gardens a bit small. But definitely worth a visit.

For something so widely advertised, it seemed very underwhelming and isolated. A small shrine-esque gate leads to a stone/ pebble garden, but the café opposite was quite unwelcoming and it was a disappointing experience. At least it was free.

We were exploring the park and my host family showed me this. I love Japanese culture and this garden was beautiful and peaceful. Well kept and had everything from waterfall to pond. Serenity at it best.

Saxat från...More

I was passing by Bonn and decided to stop and see the garden. It's tiny and there's nothing special about it. If you're a tourist going around Europe and expecting to see really nice things, don't waste your time in this garden, it isn't worth.

This place was nice but maybe not japanese enough. There was a pond with koi carps ans some trees cutted into tight shape.

The Japanese Garden is found in the Freizeitpark Rheinaue and has stunningly beautiful plants that are very well tended to. The garden is mostly clean and set up in a Kyoto style manner thus embracing the beauty of Japanese landscape art. There is a Bonsai...More

Quietly place, nice, but I expected to find more space... It's nice, but too small in my opinion. Although a "miniature" garden, it has a small lake with beautiful, nice colored fish, different types of Japanese plants. It also has a resting place, and its...More

It is real Japanese garden (gift from Japan Government), small, simple and pleasant. There are miniature trees, lake with fishes, waterfall and so on. The garden is located in the Rheinaue Park. Good place to have a rest away from city noise.
