Not the most scintillating of museums, but full of historic documents and period instruments. The young Beethoven did not live in a palace, but in a fairly ordinary house. But it was here that his incredible career began. The visit included an informative lecture.

Opened only on Sunday's for visits, I happened to visit on a weekday but still took in the beauty and history of the place that gave the world a gifted composer. Apparently Beethoven only lived there during the first 4 years of his life. But still, it made him the man he was to become

I didn't really like it, it is very small and was not exciting, I think only if you love Beethoven and like to see where he used to sleep eat and play you should visit it otherwise it doesn't worth it.

Beethoven House is a must see in Bonn, the hometown of the great composer. Loved the room where you could listen to his music.

I was interesting, but not quite what I had expected. Not sure what else to say. The society that maintains the house has kept it simple with minimal information. I was impressed with many of the instruments that they had on display. The gift shop connected to the museum was quaint and adequate. If you are a fan of the... More

No one visiting Bonn should miss the house where the city's most famous son was born. We were, however, alarmed to find that the lighting in the first rooms we visited made it difficult to see the pictures on the walls properly. Thankfully this was not the case for the rest of the museum. The exhibits focused on the time in... More

Sadly, the society that takes care of the house has not created it to be an interesting environment. Yes, it was his home when he was young and his desk and a few articles are there. But they do not have anything in the rooms to show how they would have been used (except the one for his bust) or... More

Located in part in the house where Beethoven lived, the museum is full of items from Beethoven's childhood and professional life. Small rooms and can get crowded. Gift shop has recordings of some hard-to-find pieces. Would recommend a performance in the adjacent concert hall if the opportunity arises.

Must see place! Really great experience was to see all of the belongings of Beethoven. Amazing! Next to the house there is a concert hall.

I was really hoping for a bit more interesting aspects to this museum. The kids were bored and I was, too, unfortunately.
