The cherry blossoms on this street are quite impressive. On a sunny Saturday afternoon, it was also quite crowded. We were/are still in a pandemic.
They should really close off the street to non-pedestrians because the cars and bikes were a nuisance at best and dangerous at worst. A lot of people are walking around and stopping for photos, generally not paying attention to their surroundings while looking up. Cars drove down the street slowly waiting for people to make way. It seems inefficient. Sarcastic bicyclists would get upset with people in their way, unfairly.
If you visit, use caution due to all these hazards.
There are businesses along the street, including cafes and shops.
The street is not too long and if you're in the area, it's worth stopping by to see it.

We live in Bonn, Germany and visit this area of town each year during the cherry blossom season. The blossoms come and go quickly, so scheduling a walk-through along this street and nearby paths during the month of April is a must. It is gorgeous and quite the photo opportunity! The streets become fully pedestrian (except for the residents who are allowed to park there) during these few days/weeks, making for a leisurely stroll.

Timing and luck.
The reason I went to Bonn was to visit Beethoven’s House which was unfortunately closed for renovation but instead I found this cherry blossom street by chance. I did not even read about its existence. Due to the closure of both Bonn Minster (major restoration) and another Catholic Church near Beethoven’s House, I wanted to look for a nearby church. While walking to another church, I chanced upon this stunning street.
I have only seen white cherry blossom trees in Yeouido Park, Seoul but pink ones like this in Bonn, I’ve not come across a whole street full of them; one or two such trees, yes, I’ve seen. In fact, in my accommodation at Ding Dong Apartment, near Beethoven’s House, I was lucky to be looking at a cherry blossom tree while taking my breakfast in the room.
Picturesque and memorable. Thank God for the wonderful weather on 10 Apr 2019, thus I was able to capture the sweet pink cherry blossom blending in well with the light blue sky in my pictures. For a brief moment, I thought the sky looked “fake” like those “skies” that we see within buildings in Macau, China.
If you are planning to go to Bonn next year to celebrate Beethoven’s 250th Anniversary of his birth year (Beethoven: 1770-1827) , you may wanna consider this period of time.

We timed our visit to Bonn just right. I heard about the cherry trees before arriving in Germany and was told that there is only a couple of weeks where they look beautiful and are blooming. We went last night and saw a few very sad looking trees, lining a street... Thinking we had got it very wrong we made our way back into town and on our way, happily stumbled across gorgeous plump pink blossoms bending over above us. A beautiful sight. It was a damp, dreary night, but the blossoms didn't show that. A sight worth seeing

Absolutely beautiful, a MUST if you're in Bonn during Kirschbluten season (April). Located in Altstadt, go straight to Heerstrasse, that's the 'main' street with the cherry blossoms. From there, you can wander in and out of all the little streets that lead on from it.

I couldn't stop taking photos of these adorable flowers! Lots of tourists were snapping photos all the way to the end of the street. Just be cautious of the vehicles passing through the street since some aren't considerate to the awe-struck tourists busily glued to their phones and cameras. We went there around April 13 but the flowers weren't in full bloom yet. When we came back 3 days later, they were big and perfect like cotton candy wrapped around the tree. I'm so glad I got to see them even though I didn't get to go to Japan or Korea for spring.

It's beautiful. I went on a wonderfully sunny spring day. The photos do not do justice to the beauty of the whole street lined with cherry trees in full bloom. There are several cafés where you can sit outside with coffee and cake and enjoy the sun as well as the view. A lovely, lovely street. It's not very far from the Bahnhof too.

I was lucky to be in Bonn just as the blossoms were at their most colorful. It really is quite a walk along and under the blossoming trees. The Breitestrasse also has a nice atmosphere and some nice cafes with outdoor terraces.

The canopy of trees is beautiful. The pink colour of the flowers is very soothing to the eyes. Great experience!
An added bonus is the Flohmarket :)

I will visit there on 22/4/2018. Is it a good time to see the Cheery Blossom in Bonn?
Written December 12, 2017
If you want to see the cherry blossom you should go in spring - maybe April, but if you just want to enjoy the area - then you can also do so in November, still a nice place to go, thought for me I wouldn't put it as a 'must see', just a nice area to walk round and hang out.
