The Aquis Plaza, which was opened in October 2015, is located at the end of the Adalbertstraße shopping mile in Aachen. The plaza has about 130 shops covering a sales area of 29,200 square metres, split over two floors. A food court with different cuisines from all over the world has something for every taste. Perfect for well-earned nourishment after a shopping marathon. C/p Aachen tourist info

Aachen is a small town but well equipped and lot of tourists do flock this town for medical tourism and ofcourse normal tourism too. The shopping experience starts from one end and Aquis Plaza is right there. Its a mall, with many branded stores of all kinds and of course a food court is laid out too. It operates up to 8.00 PM only and on first Fridays up to 10.00 PM. Free WiFi is provided to help visitors and of course individual stores too have their own WiFi network that works in their premises. We stay jut opposite to Aquis Plaza and happens to be our regular hang out for food - be it lunch or dinner and window shopping. We are so regular, have taken customer cards from BB and Douglas. one WAJOS Partner shop where you could get olive Oil of various flavors / quality and seedless Olives and all that. Its a good place to pick up some thing without any doubt in mind. Food court has usual KFC, Asian, Korean, Chinese, Burgers and assorted varieties. Everyone has a choice to quench his / her palette. There's a utility store too where one can pick up household utility items. There's starbucks on the outer ring, Bakeries, and even Health and Medical shops on the outer ring of the mall. Good to hang out

It is a very average shopping mall which you would normally expect in a more rural area. The architecture is basic and low-cost. You will find the usual low- and mid-cost European shops and get all the basic things you need. The air inside the mall is very bad, a strange "chemical" smell. If you look at the area around the mall it is obvious Aachen is in a state of total decline and lost economically the battle with surrounding cities like Liège and Maastricht. There are hobos and drug addicts everywhere asking for money, but not inside the mall. And also, there is nearby a very small but nice historical center with the Dome and the City Hall.
