Huge and richly decorated , this is a most historical landmark. There are several architectural styles evident through the centuries.

History says that king Charlemagne gave the money to build this church. This church has plenty of gold and has a beautiful gothic look. Very impressive.

Old architecture with impressive stained glass. Free of charge to see the inside. Is in the center of the town.

Wasn't on my travel plans, but so glad I went. The town around the church is quaint with lots of little shops. The church is amazing. Joined the 2pm English speaking tour which gave more detail to what I saw. This is truly a jewel!

From the outside, it does not look very special. However the inside is awesome, it is one of the most impressive churches I have visited in northern Europe.

Beautiful, stunning cathedral. The stain glass windows were amazing. Very ornate. There was a sense of peace and tranquility. Worth a visit.

The cathedral is amazing especially from inside. All walls, arches, vaults and domes are covered with colorful mosaics. Unique architecture and interior design. A real UNESCO site!

Any suggestions for the best way to get to Aachen for the Dom and Treasury 2 p.m. tours in English from Cologne and back to Cologne by 5 p.m. to our Viking River Cruise ship (in June)?

Hello , it will not work due to limited time , even by driving over speed limits and train is not a solution even with better time options.
