We had a fantastic tour. Our tour guide was very well informed with all the history of all the tour stops. Booked the tour online and was met at the cruise port for the trip. No problems what so ever. The tour for less costly than what the ship offered.

We were on a cruise and went to Rostock by boat for an exchursion. It is a beautiful German Old Town. Sections of the Old Wall is still there and well preserved. There are the most beautiful colourful houses with different gables. Rostock has huge rose gardens with hundreds of roses - they keep the different colours together. It is amazing. Architecture in this old town is unique - have your camera ready. We end with a typical icecold German beer. The locals love to talk to us and were so friendly and informative. Skip Warnemunde and go to Rostock if you are on a cruise.

We were looking for private transportation between Berlin and Warnemuende and this company did a great job from the beginning to the end. Anne was excellent communicating our needs to the drivers and our drivers Ringo and Thomas were both outstanding. They arrived early and did a great job sharing their knowledge about Berlin and Germany as we had so many questions during the car ride. Highly recommend their service!

Thomas Morgenstern was an outstanding driver and guide last month when we were docked in Rostock and wanted to go to Hamburg tp see the Beatles sites. He was at our ship with a brand new Mercedes S Class at 6 a. It's a comfortable riding car with a spacious second seat and charging ports for IPhones. He was knowledgeable about Hamburg and resourceful. When I asked him where I could get some foreign magazines to read on the drive back to Rostock. He suggested the Hamburg Train Station Bookstore, whose second floor has a great selection of English, French, Italian, and Spanish newspapers and magazines. Most fine restaurants in Hamburg don't open until late afternoon on Sundays. We couldn't find a good German restaurant in Hamburg's city center open early on Sunday afternoon at which to dine. When we asked Thomas that morning if he had a suggestion, he made several phone calls and took us to a delightful restaurant with a garden in a Hamburg suburb that was picturesque and had great German cuisine. I asked him if he would drive around Rostock when we returned and show us the town. He took us around for an hour, showing us the University, the town, the area where naval families had lived. It was fascinating to hear him talk about growing up in the former East Germany.

My wife and I, with another couple, decided to do the Warnemunde / Rostock day tour. The tour involves a lot of walking, approximately 4 hours, except for the train ride from Warnemunde to Rostock and back. Our tour guide did a whole lot of talking, very monotone and boring stories though, way too much than the group could handle. No free time as advertised. Nice houses, shops and buildings.

We (two couples traveling on a cruise together) decided to do the Warnemunde/Rostock day tour instead of the trip to Berlin (we visited Berlin for a week a number of years ago)- and are we glad that we did! Our tour guide Andreas had lived in the area all of his life, which enabled him to provide a unique perspective of the area encompassing its industry, history, economics, demographics and other defining characteristics. The tour was also very well paced and enabled us to cover a lot of ground. And our lunch of sausages, potatoes and beer in the heart of Rostock was delicious.

Our family of 5 booked a day trip from the cruise port in Warnemünde to Berlin. Anne at Rostock Travel Day Tours arranged a driver (Kai) who took us to Berlin and a guide (Ulli) who showed us Berlin. Kai was very professional and the drive there was quick, about 2.5 hours in a large, comfortable Mercedes van. Drive back was a bit more than 3 hours because of construction delays. It was our first experience on the Autobahn - incredible to see cars flying past us when we were doing 120km/hr! In Berlin itself, Ulli was an absolutely fantastic guide. Her English is excellent, she has a lot of energy (our teenaged kids loved her) and she was very knowledgeable about everything we saw. She was also very flexible- eg. our daughter had a craving for a white chocolate hot chocolate and Ulli found us an amazing cafe in the trendy part of Berlin that served it. We also told Ulli we wanted an authentic local lunch and she found us a fun patio where we sat outside and had great food and I enjoyed a local beer. Despite all this we still had plenty of time for touring and saw a lot in the 6 hours we had in Berlin. We would highly recommend Rostock Travel Day Tours and Ulli as your guide in particular!

We were a family of 6 adults on a cruise stopping in Warnemunde, Germany and wanted to see Berlin. The issue is that Warnemunde is not all that close to Berlin - it's a 2 1/2 to 3 hour ride in bus or car and we had only a 1 day stopover. How to do this painfully and efficiently? Rostock Travel Day Tours to the rescue!

We paid both the deposit and balance (balance the week of the cruise) via PayPal in Euros and Anne in the office was extremely efficient both in confirming payment and answering a multitude of questions. She told us the trip would be 2 ½ hours each way to Berlin, which would leave us about 6 hours for touring. The package we chose gave us a driver of an air conditioned Mercedes mini-van that sat 6 comfortably who lived near the cruise port to pick us up and drive us to Berlin, where we would be met by a guide who would show us Berlin.

Everything was as Anne had described it on the day of the tour. Our driver, Kai, was at the pier as we disembarked. We were told the driver would not speak English as well as our guide, but Kai's English was fine and he greeted us warmly as we set out for Berlin. The Mercedes van was spacious and comfortable and he drove safely. There is no speed limit at certain points on the Autobahn to Berlin, but he was careful not to go as fast as some of the locals. As he said, "we travel safely", and it was clear that was a prime concern. The van had seat belts and we felt very safe with him.

When we arrived in Berlin, we met our cheerful guide, Ulli. We had sent Anne in the office a list of possible additional stops of interest for our tour besides the standard Berlin stops such as Checkpoint Charlie and The Brandenburg Gate. It was clear immediately that Ulli had done his homework and was both friendly and knowledgeable. His 6 hour tour flew by, as he showed us all we had asked to see, including some special "off the beaten track" spots of interest and some varied neighborhoods, as we had asked to see a "slice of life" of native Berliners.

When we were hungry, Ulli found us an amazing stand where we could get authentic Berlin sausages, and later when we were almost ready to head back on our long drive to the ship, he found us a charming local market where we could buy fruit, sweets and water for the trip back.

We felt we saw a tremendous amount of Berlin in the 6 hours we had with Ulli, and he was very knowledgeable about the history and culture of Berlin during the Prussian Empure, theNazi era, the Cold War and today. We learned a tremendous amount. Also, it happened to be an unseasonably hot day - getting up into the 90's Fahrenheit. Ulli and Kai did a great job positioning the car so we never felt overwhelmed by the heat. It was absolutely the most pleasant way to spend what inevitably had to be a very long day of driving back and forth from port to city. Kai got us back to the boat in plenty of time for dinner and All Aboard, despite some annoying construction on the road back from Berlin in several places. We made it in about 2 hrs 45 minutes, which was excellent considering the traffic and construction.

I would give Rostock Travel Day Tours a perfect grade for the day. Everything was as advertised. Payment was easy and convenient. They were extremely responsive via email to every possible question and concern - and on the day of the tour they executed to perfection. It's a long day to go from Warnemunde to Berlin and back, but they made it plesant and enjoyable. You can't ask for more than that.

Overall, the tour guide led a size of 10-15 to the Scherwin Castle and Rostock- well organised with train tickets ready and we got back in time as promised for the port excursion (NCL cruise). The tour guide did a whole lot of talking (very monotone and uninteresting stories) though, way too much than the group could handle-- also no free time as advertised. Great local food for lunch.
