If you're not really into science and find normal museums boring, this is the place for you! The Phaeno is not a normal museum, it in fact is a self experience museum. You can do all the experiments yourself, which makes a lot of fun and is way more interesting than just reading or watching stuff. It's great for kids... More

We have never visited a similar museum with such interesting areas. What makes it most attractive is the interaction between visitor and experiments. It is also possible to visit it all in one day without the children getting bored or nervous.

You can say this is a planetarium instead of science museum as many people call it. This is excellent for kids who want to learn more on how things work, with real models explaining details.

Oh my, there is so much in this museum to play with, experiment with and learn! Be aware that the museum is closed on Mondays!!! We went early knowing that there is a lot to see and do and it was full of excited children running around trying the experiments and pushing and shoving things. It is not just for... More

Hosted in what looks like a just landed star ship, designed by the Iraq-born architect Zaha Hadid, Phaeno celebrates its first ten years of successful dissemination of science. It is a highly interactive science museums, where people of all ages can enjoy learning the law of physics. In fact at the time of our visit in mid May, it was... More

First, I am a structural engineer of many years and this museum is for kids but I still enjoyed myself. There are so many things to play with and read about. The science behind all of this is still fun to re-learn. The set up of the museum is great with many attractions for all different ages and preferences. Of... More

Hands on fun! You get to check out things that you get to touch. Scientific stuff and learning stuff. Typical German that you probably would never see in America.

Everything inside is interactive allowing you to learn, play, and tinker with all sorts of very interesting science experiments. Also has a number of larger exhibits that are cool to see the staff perform, such as the fire tornado or the superconducting magnetic track. As an engineer, this place was awesome to visit, and I wouldn't hesitate to go back... More

I've benn to Phaeno twice and I still didn't have enough time! first time I spent there 3 hours and I ran whole time between the experiments, still didn't manage to see it all. Second time I started, where I finished last time, watched the area, which I didn't see, then checked out some new experiments, and still at the... More
