This building looked plain from the outside, but inside was the best collection of VW Beetles and vans, and Karman Ghias, and then all the newer models - although I was there to sigh over the older models. It took longer to tour than I expected. The gift shop at the front of the building was tiny, but I left... More

An excellent historical reference museum without the bells and whistles of the Autostadt. Looks pretty boring from the outside but well worth visiting.

If you are a vw enthusiast this museum won't disappoint. I thought that there might be a few more exhibits but it still takes a few hours to walk around and look at everything. Personally I am a t2 nut so I would have liked to see more but overall there were some very impressive displays. Well worth the visit.

What an absolute find this place was!! Only found it by pure chance the night before we visited the Autostadt but a much better place to visit for those interested in the older VW's. We'd travelled there in our '87 Mk2 Scirocco and it felt right at home there! Only 6 Euro entry fee and you get the museum to... More

Absolutely enjoyed seeing the classics that I have grown up with as well as some I could never afford or even see. Magnificent. Allow at least a couple of hours and take a tour if possible.

Whether aircooled or watercooled floats your boat, there is plenty to see. A brief history followed by some iconic historic cars and some conceops that never made production
