This museum is on three floors and is quite wonderful! On the ground floor, there is a Natural History section with all kinds of animals, dinosaurs and live animals in glass cases and fish in a tank. All beautifully laid out and interesting. On another floor, we cam across an anthropology section which showed the progression of man, there was... More

An excellent natural history section with lots of fossils and stuffed animals and birds showing the diverse fauna of the past. Lots of time to explain things to small children. The exhibits are well laid out and not overcrowded. The art section was not so interesting, not my taste in art and boring for my son.

I was more interested in the aquarium downstairs than in the painting upstairs, but they weren't boring. It is a funny mixture of nature and art, of history and biology, very interesting. I cannot think of another place like this. It is cheap so it's worth a look. I am only sorry I didn't manage to see the "Mann von... More

Painting from every period and genre of European art - an art historian's paradise. For a Londoner, the experience of being quite alone in this vast collection was a bit unnnerving! Very nice cafe.

Not knowing quite what to expect, we were very pleasantly surprised by the range of artists and sculptors on display. As well as seeing many very talented artists whose names i didn't recognise, there was an interesting collection of many that I did e.g. Monet, Sisley and Rubens
