We visited the strandbad - outdoor swimming area. Price was cheap (2,30e / person) but it included only the beach. There were basic toilets with no soap. There were no services (food, ice cream, drinks) at all in the area but you can come back in the same day with bracelet. Woman selling tickets couldn't speak english.

Rented a bike near the main train station and had a lovely ride around the lake. The bike path was separate from the walking/running path. Perfect. There were plenty of places to stop and enjoy the gorgeous views. A few food/beverage places along the way, too. Perfect afternoon!

We sat on the shore and watched the rowers, both individual kayakers and competition team rowers. It was a nice place to sit in the middle of our walk along the red thread (line).

I have been there several times in summer and it is a cool place to chill. It is only 5mins walk from city centre and it is big enough for concerts, fishing, sailing, kayaking .etc water sports. There are steps around the lake which you can sit and gather with friends.

Visited this with a group of friends on a lovely spring day. It was great to watch those on the lake in the sailing boats, dragon boats and car pedalos. There are many large fish to watch and several types of birds. There are good paths around the edge for walking, running and cycling. Sit and relax with a drink,... More

Also some huge fish in the huge lake are to be seen. You can rent a boat and also eat from the corner located food stand.

We took a gentle stroll along the shores of Maschsee on a sunny Spring day. You can rent paddle-boats and even go sailing. Very enjoyable and popular with locals.

It's a man made lake with some museums around. Calm, serene, can be very cold though. Good for jogging in the morning. Take bus number 100 / 200 to reach this place or simply walk from nearby Kropcke or Aegientorplatz station.

This lake is quiet nice but i will not consider this a turistic atraction because in compare with another atractions it is not well care to be an atraction.
