Pretty extensive
Sep 2019
The usual mix of modern, rebuilt and new with pedestrian streets. There are some very interesting structures in the area. Good shopping and lots of restaurants and cafes.

We had been to Heidleberg for the previous 4 days, and were much taken by that town...we did enjoy Wiesbaden and the Altstadt, but it isn't in the same class....its nice, and great o walk so many pedestrian streets, and the shopping is great...but the Historic buildings not as impressive.....ok for a dy, not a holiday destination like Heidelberg is.

Interesting Tour/walk
May 2016 • Couples
Did a old city tour, amazed by all the half timber and fill house that have been around for hundreds of years. The red sandstone church is worth a look at, not far from there is a monument with a fox head hidden in one of the helmets. The Gutenberg museum was well worth the time and effort to see the displays and a print of a page take place , Large square with lots of shopping walkways, would have been better on a totally dry day!!.

The charming old city
Dec 2015
Wiesbaden's old city, unlike many of other large German cities in the region, is pretty well intact and the parts that had been destroyed in the war were built again in the style as to not ruin the look of this part of town, in the oldest parts you will find winding alleys with small cozy buildings.

This town is absolutely stunning. You can see the history clearly. I recommend going to the Schaefer coffee shop in the morning for bread and coffee, it has good company. Over all a beautiful town.

Better than the others
Jul 2015 • Couples
We found Wiesbaden's old town the best by far compared to Frankfurt, Mainz, Worms, Koblenz and Heidelberg, all nice in different ways but Wiesbaden is the best. It is very open and has wonderful buildings at every turn - and it isn't full of cranes and scaffolding (like Frankfurt and Bad Kreuzbach when we visited). Nice parks too within a short distance.
