The convent of Fulda had been ruled directly from emperor and pope. They founded from here a lot of convents all over Europe. we hoped something was still there. Well: in the Cathedral (Dom) there were the remains of Bonifatius who baptized a lot peoples in Europe. But a few meters from the Dom we visited the wonderful St Michaelskirche,... More

I went to Fulda to attend the Deep Purple concert and it happened on the ground in front of the Church. I got a chance to see the church and learn a bit of the history. That the church is beautiful is undeniable. I have yet to read up on its details so cannot give any interesting bits of information.... More

Fairly traditional RC European church. Many interesting sculptures and statues inside so worth stopping in.

The light, bright baroque cathedral has a joyful atmosphere, and it invites to stay and look at the baroque art pieces. It is noteworthy that on the weekends organ concerts are offered. It is a place that no visitor should miss.

A must if you are in Fulda. 1700 barock church, white inside with many sculptures and impressive altar, see photos. Very nice organ, certainly would have liked to hear how it sounds, maybe next time.

A must go whenever you are in Fulda. Very well designed church with lots of arts and history. Entrance should be free and information can be found there.

Beautiful church right next to ancient Michael's Kirche. Kill 2 flies with one stones. Magnificent building week worth seeing and if you can listen to one of the organ concerts or join a mass.

Fula cathedral is one of the highlights of a trip to Fula. It is a place of pilgrimage, because you can visit the grave of Bonifatius, an early Christian bishop who was killed during a missionary trip to Friesland. For a Baroque church it is not overly gaudy, with white walls and an open feel. Entrance to the cathedral is... More
