This historic tower now sits in the centre of the road in a modern district so looks quite out of place . It is an attractive tower and nice architecture

The soaring glass towers around it dwarf it now, but in its day it must have been quite the sight. The classic tower echos the modern technology that built it. Great places at its base to eat and drink. Enjoy!

Not really somewhere to spend any time - just a quick look as you walk past. The in house cafe obscure the information plaque and make you feel a little uncomfortable in approaching it.

The symbol of frankfurt and last part of the city ramparts. Ask a local why there is a 9 in the flag at the top. The knowledgeable one's will know the story.

Once you have walked around Frankfurt, you will be used to seeing all sorts of design; you spend about 10 seconds at the tower and then walk by or you might be sitting at a nearby café/restaurant.

Very unusual to see such a building among tall, modern constructions. City center is quite near and it is surrounded by many bars and cafes.

A bit disappointing that we saw no way to get into this quite prominent landmark. It is in an area of nice cafes and we were thinking it would be nice to have someplace at the top to have a coffee and enjoy the view....More

Just in front of our hotel was this tower. Unfortunately it was surrounded by construction sites on one side and a bizarre looking pink pipe on the other side. Quite a landmark though.

Flemings Deluxe is a great hotel right across the street from Eschenheimer Tor. Just a block or so from the center and right next to an underground stop.
