The Commerzbank-Arena stands on the site of its great predecessor – the legendary Frankfurt Waldstadion. It forms an integral part of German sporting history and has always been the focal point of life in the region. The Waldstadion has gone through many changes in the past and has now, at the start of the new millennium, been completely refurbished and given a new strategic concept. The fantastic sportsmen who have played here and the spectacular football matches that have taken place are never to be forgotten. The new arena was built for sports, concerts, business events and all kinds of large gatherings. Depending on the event, it can hold up to 55,000 spectators – multi-functionality is an important aspect. The exact circumference is 860 metres; the length is 210 metres and the width 190 metres. No pillars obstruct direct view onto the pitch and the front rows are only a few metres away from the edge of the field.

Beautifull stadion

Went to the Oktoberfest on the Arena premises. Pretty easy to get to from the train station, but the sign boards are not as good as they can be. Oktoberfest was great.

Amazing family time at Monster Jam Frankfurt, stadium great, organised and well later out easy to get to and from using the S bahn. As for the show it self. Exceeded all expectations, highly recommend the "pitpass" managed to get autographs from all the drivers. Amazing show.

Had the opportunity to attend a Bundesliga match here. The stadium is modern and clean. It is easy to access by a variety of public transport options. There were lots of shops selling a variety of foods and souvenirs. Even though I was at the back and high up in the stands I could still see really well. Once the... More

We were lucky enough to be in Frankfurt for the first Bundesliga game of the season, so I had to buy tickets! It was a hot, humid day, but they have a cover over all of the top tier seating so we were very comfortable. Really enjoyed the game and it is easy-but very crowded-to take the train to the... More

To reach the stadium, public transport is heavily promoted, but: For events there are no extra sign posts form Frankfurt Mainstation, you have to discover the ordinary signs....my advice: calculate a little extra-time to find the platforms of S7,S8,S9 towards "Stadium" (6 mins ride). From the S-bahn station "Frankfurt Main, Stadion" it's an easy 15 mins walk, just follow the... More

I love to take my sons out here on a Saturday watching the premier league game of Eintracht Frankfurt. This is their home stadium. The arena is well reachable with public transport (if you don't have a VIP pass to pass the car lines, don't come here by private car when an event is on), the stadium is modern and... More

It is a good place for a concert or a festival, depending on when you sit or stand. Just visited the arena while a festival/concert, so cannot say much more about it. You can reach the arena quite good with public transport.

Thank Linda W
